The Diner
Wesley grinned happily, watching as a waitress came over to take their order. "I'll have a cheeseburger, with a side of fries, and a coke," he said, smiling at her, and looking at Daci.
((I have to go for an hour, sorry :/))The waitress nodded, and walked away, scribbling it down. Wesley gave her another look of concern, still convinced something was wrong.
(( I've got to go as well... :( ))
Daci was messing with the sleeves of her hoodie, which she had slipped back over her wet T-shirt. She didn't know what to say, so she kept quiet instead.

(( *scream sings* I. Am. So. Sorreh. 'Bout. THAT! ))
Daci smiled and nodded quickly, dizzying herself.
"Yes, I'm alright" she said.
Daci smiled and nodded quickly, dizzying herself.
"Yes, I'm alright" she said.
((XD It's okay lol))Wesley frowned a little, watching her with a worried look. But he shook the feeling off, and gave a small smile and a quick nod. "Good...." he murmured.
Wesley swallowed nervously. "Are you really human?" he asked. The question had been in his mind most of the day. He felt it was impossible she was human, thinking that it could be possible she was something more.
Daci just shrugged.
"I guess I am" she leaned over the table, so that she could talk quieter.
"I'm not a wolf, like you. Nor a vampire" she admitted.

Daci shrugged, leaning away.
"I don't know... I just know. Maybe it's just a sixth sense... You know, how I can tell who is what by just looking or having that person walk into the room."

Wesley nodded slowly, grinning now. "Ah...well.. alright then," he murmured as the waitress brought their food.
(( Gotta go! 'Till tomorrow! ))
Daci thanked the waitress and closed her eyes. She did her little 'grace' rhyme before she smiled at Wesley, asked him to enjoy his food and dove right in.

Wesley finished half his food before looking at Daci once more. "Maybe you could explain a little further?" he suggested, looking at her curiously.
Wesley swallowed nervously. "Well, about what you said before. About sensing what people are," he said, setting down his silverware.
"Oh" Daci thought for a moment.
"Well... ever since I can remember, I could do that. Um... if a person walks by there's this odd feeling I get. Like my mind is telling me what I should be seeing. What I should know about that person. It's as if I were sitting in a room watching a really fast slide show. And the only way I can focus on one, is if one person comes close enough to me for me to see his or her slide. Like it slows down and stops in the slide with a brief description of that person.
"I've never learned what it is exactly. It's just something I've always been able to do: know a person without having to really meet him or her... I know it's confusing... I'm sorry."

Wesley blinked, listening intently. He chuckled softly, and shook his head. "That's alright... I kind of understand, " he murmured, scratching the back of his head. "So you don't know if it has a name or anything?"
Daci shook her head, returning to her drink. It might have been funny to some people: how she just talked about that thing she didn't even had a name for so easily and normally.
Wesley nodded and sighed. "Well....hopefully you figure out a name," he said with a chuckle. "So you can just say the name instead of explaining all that," he said with a grin.
Daci shrugged.
"Usually wolves, vampires and kids my age steer clear from my way. I'm surprised you've talked to me at all" she said truthfully.

Wesley shrugged. "I can't see why people avoid you.... you seem like a nice person, " he said with a small grin.
Daci sighed, moving her remaining drink around with her straw.
"Have you noticed how many others are around here?"
"Have you noticed how many others are around here?"
Wesley nodded slowly. "Yeah... I know there's a pack of wolves, as well as a clan of vampires in the woods," he told her, shrugging. "They're both friendly though, so there's no problem."
Daci realized she had spoken aloud. She blushed some more, knowing she must have sounded kind of weird.
She shook her head.
"Just... nothing really" she muttered.

Wesley gave her a worried look. "Are you sure? If it's something that's bothering you...." he trailed off, furrowing his brows.
Wesley nodded, and gave a small smile before sighing softly. "Well... I'm full.... and I should probably head home," he said, checking his watch.
Wesley nodded, looking at her. "Well... I'm very glad I met you," he said with a warm smile. "Hopefully we'll see each other again...?"
Daci blushed a bit as she smiled.
"Yes, it was very nice to meet you. And, of course" she said, shouldering her bag.

Wesley nodded, smiling. "Great. Well... see you later then," he murmured, turning and striding away. He glanced back and waved as he left.
"Okay..." Daci waved back. She walked out of the dinner, and headed home.
She listened to music as she went. Now, what would her parent's think of her still wet clothes?

Wesley walked into the diner, the small bell above the door ringing noisily as he slid into a booth, motioning for Daci to sit as well.
