Plus sized? Really?

At least she doesn't call herself plus sized. And she's 6 sizes bigger than the previous "plus size" model? Sheesh.
I agree that 16 is not plus sized, but at least she is making inroads in an industry that has always prized the unhealthily thin.
Getting the cover of any "mainstream" magazine with an a-typical body type is a victory, maybe not the kind I'd like to see, but a victory all the same. Who knows, maybe someday I'll be on the cover of Vogue. (Ha-ha)
Well, this fits this section. H&M stores to me, are going a strong and good direction, but I fail to see WHY this girl is a "plus size" model, but I again, congratulate the chain for daring to go against the standard.

From what I read, it looks like they're not actually claiming that she's plus size; she's just a realistically proportioned model. Either way, it's definitely a positive step, and more power to them.
The INDUSTRY says she plus-sized, not the catalog just to clarify my original post. Frankly, when a normal sized woman in good health is called plus size, then I shudder how far we have skewed our self images.

Saw this on Yahoo mail...
Just cause she wears a size 16...she's a freaking giant at 6" 2".
