The Cornish bookstore discussion

In light of all the hype around the Robert downy movies and the BBC show Sherlock I've finally taken the plunge and started reading Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories. I was really impressed by how the BBC show followed the book. I was wondering if anyone else has seen the show, read the stories, or both and what their thoughts were?

I loved the WXXI PBS show when I was a kid, and think that it was closer to the story than the Downy movies even if he was a fighter and drug user (even though I haven't read the stories I have read about them) Was thinking of picking up the Complete Sherlock Holmes leatherbound collection From Barnes and Nobles.

Nice I really love the price Barnes and Nobles has on some of the classics. I just finished up the first volume but I was starting to sound too much like Watson in conversation so I decided to switch it up a bit. The new bbc show Sherlock is fantastic if you get around to it.
