Dominique Aguilera With the main character's name and what she goes through, I was thinking that this could be looked as an alternative life for Cassie Bernall, from She Said Yes .
For those who don't know, "She Said Yes" tells the life of 17-year-old Cassie Bernall, through her mom's perspective: the mom recounts how her daughter hangs out with a crowd she's not 100% comfortable with, and later discovers stuff she wrote in her bedroom -- letters by herself and friends, having written essentially about wanting to commit murder and drawn gruesome images. Cassie, of course, is very unhappy when her parents learn about this, and the mother continues to talk about how she's a fan of heavy metal music (like Marilyn Manson) and interested in witchcraft. This all leads to the parents trying their best at controlling Cassie's rebellious behavior (much to Cassie's ever-growing anger).
So, of course, when I read about "Beautiful," I wonder if this would be Bernall's life in an alternative way, perhaps had her parents never known about her rebellious doings, started doing drugs, and having sex. Any thoughts?

Tiana Nelson WELL NOT REALLY BUT OKAY. this book was okay but i kinda didn't understand the last part. o_O
Did any of you understand

Shelby This book was not something I would read again. I actually re-sold it to a book exchange. And "Cassie Bernall" is actually a real person that was killed in Columbine....So it's pretty awkward.
