I have a feeling that fellow woopigers would like this one. It's a collection of short stories by an Alabama author, with a novela at the end. He covers murder, game wardens and poachers, drinking, loan sharks, down-on-their-luck rednecks, working the night shift, etc.
I read that the author was at the University of Arkansas for a little while too.
