A group of guards march down the hallway in complete sync, passing by the rows and rows of Cells. Of course, they are leaded by Terren, the innocent looking girl in charge of each prisoners life. Pairs of guards march into several select cells, pulling out a few of the gifted. These gifted people are..

he guards lift them up and drag them away from the other cells, away from their friends and their poor excuses of homes. The are carried down a labyrinth of hallways, weaving their way into a whole new section of the Jail. This old part of the prison is old, rotten and decayed, nothing like the prime futuristic building that stands so tall and proud. The descend the final staircase and end up at a small row of dirty little cells. In front stands a sign, that says "Termination Station." They are shoved inside and forced to listen to terrens speech.

Almea was thrown into the cell. She cried out in pain again. She coughed out blood, her leg bleeding heavily. "Hello?" she called out. She had passed out do to the loss of blood in her leg. There had been a bandage loosly wrapped, but it was soaked, in need of a changing badly.

Natalie was thrown hard into the dirty old cell, throwing her arms out just in time to stop herself from slamming right into the wall. The new cells had no walls, only bars, which would held her in the end. She held up her shirt and removed the baggy and old faded piece of paper, sitting on the bed and placing the item on her lap. She opened the folded piece of paper and studied it intently.

"Whats that?" she managed to say to Natalie. She had made it onto her bed and lied down. Her head started spinning, so she planted one foot on the ground, helping the pain soothe.

"A map." She said as she held up the piece of parchment, that was covered in million of intersecting straight lines as well as some spidery hand writing. "A glove." She said as she picked up the baggy, seeing a clear doctors glove in it. "And a clue." She said as she pulled yet another piece of paper from her sleeve.

"Thats not cryptic at all," Almea said, rolling her eyes with sarcasm. That caused a large thunder of pain that shot through her head. "Aahh," she winced in pain. "What happened to me when I passed out," she thought. "What are those items supposed to do? If you havent noticed, we're in the Termination Center, That doesnt sound very good," she said.

"Ah no problem. I'm gonna get us out of here." She said simply and emotionless, as she pulled a roll of tape from her ankle, pasting the three items onto the back wall. She pulled a pen from behind her ear, one she had stolen from doctor dylan when she wasn't watching. "I've got a plan. But, well.. it has a few flaws." she said and looked up at Almea. "But im hoping you guys can help me. Im Natalie." She said, her voluminous chocolate curls framing her face.

"Almea," she replies, feeling a bit better. She got onto her elbows and got a good look at this girl for the first time. She was really pretty, making Almea feel ugly. She had gorgeous, thick brown curls. And she had limp, straight hair. It was stupid to care about looks in a prison, but she was still a teenage girl and cared about her appearance sometimes.

"Nice to meet ya, Almea." She said, nodding her head and scribbling something on the map, her hand writing matching the one on the paper. She tapped the pen on her chin and continued talking. "Were the lucky ones, even though it doesn't seem like it now. This is probably the only place that isn't monitored. Plus, the guards don't visit much, so we'll be fine. The only challenge being to get out before they come for us, whenever that will be." She said with a sigh as she crossed something out on the map and sat down on the lumpy bed, moving the hole ridden dirty blanket with her foot.

Josh struggled against the guards as they dragged him down the hallways "DARCY!!" he screamed even though he knew she couldn't hear him. Josh was thrown into the cell, it smelt like urine and blood and dirt, his shirt was ripped to shreds in the struggle and provided little warmth from the icy coldness that was more prominent here than in the other cells. He sat in the dirty mattress on the floor and put his head in his hands.

Rain coughed as she sat up. She looked around with wide eyes. "What is happening?" She says loudly.

"Hey Josh," Almea said dimly. She had lost her spark. Natalie had said there was chance of escape, but the door seemed slim. She walked over to the bars next to Josh. She put her hand through and rubbed his back. "It'll be alright. I promise," she said, using her usual comfort words. She could feel his heavy breathing and knew he might cry. She rubbed his back and then his shoulders trying to make him feel a bit better. "I have no clue," she responded to Rain. "This place is called 'Termination Center,' so it seems we are going to be," she swallowed, trying to fight back her own tears, "Terminated."

Natalie frantically wrote on the back of a note, attempting to fill in the blanks of her plan. She bit her bottom lip, deep in thought as the gears of her mind begun to spin. She turned back to alema to see that others had arrived. "Hey." She said, not having met any of them before. She was lucky enough to have the cell with one window that was connected to another empty cell. She ran her hand through her wold curls and waved slightly, turning back to her writing.

Almea turned to the girl. "Hi," she said. "So how are your plans going?" she asked, walking to the bars next to an empty cell that was nearest to Natalie. "How are we supposed to get out of here? Secret tunnel? We gonna chisel out an inch a day?"

"No, no nothing that silly." She said with a small toothy smile and brought the map and other items over to her bed, sitting indian style and placing them deliactly on her lap. "It's kind of complicated." She said and ordered everything around her. She help up the map and used the other side of the pen as a pointer. "Were here." She said and pointed to a small square in the middle of the map, located on the lower floor of the building. "And the only possibe way out for us is right here." She moved the pen to what appeared to be a tunnel. "As you can see, it's directly underneath us. And the only way there is through a staircase." The pointer glided over the paper to a place that was in the very corner of the paper on the same floor. " The staircase is the most guarded part of the prison, full of guards of every size, willing to crush any trespasser they see. SO were going to need a distraction." She said with a grin, showing that she had an idea.

"Sounds smart." She nodded at everything the girl was saying. "What do you have in mind for this, 'distraction,' might I ask?" She was worried.

Natalie smiled and reached her hand forward, picking up the small baggy. "In this bag is a plastic doctors glove I stole from Doctor Dylan when she wasn't watching. Its turned inside out and contains all her finger prints on it. Each room and control is guarded by a lock that is activated by the hand of someone who is programmed into the system, Dr. Dylan being one of them. This glove gives us total control over the building. To create a distraction im thinking that I, or maybe someone else, will sneak int the security system where they will sneak in with the glove and open the cells of the other prisoners. I have a guard friend in the building who will be able to slip them a note telling them to go crazy when the doors open. All the guards will rush there, leaving the staircase empty." She said proudly.

"Wow, that is really good. Im pretty quiet and stuff, so maybe I could release the prisoners," she suggested.

" Sure. But maybe I should come with you. I've memorized the map so I can get us there and back, then down the staircase and tunnel. And from there we face, well we face the unknown." She said and showed the blank corner of the map. " But luckily we won't be alone." She said and picked up the note. The note read "If you can get them to the tunnel, we can get them free." Natalie nodded and set it down. "I got this message a few days ago from a guard who works on the outside. This dealer who sent the note is getting us through the unknown, if /i> they end up showing up." She said with a shrug.

"Sounds like a plan. When exactly are we doing this? And how do you know that the guard isnt going to just go behind your back and turn us in or reveal your plan to the entire security?"

"I just know. And besides, if he does what more could they do to us? We're literally sitting in the termination station! It's worth a shot. And im thinking first thing is to tell everyone the plan and get them ready. Then we'll see."

Josh looked up at the mention of an escape "I have a good destruction plan" he said

Natalie looked up at the new face, interested to hear his plan. "Spill." She said and positioned her pen on her paper in case this was something that would work.

"Well im guessing that we are still going to have morning lineup so i wont come out of my cell and then then the guards will come in to see wots up and then I will kick ass to hell and back and grab keys" Josh said "I've had this planned for about 4 years now"

Natalie bit her lip, a common habit of hers when she was deep in thought. "What about you though? We won't be able to get you out of the chaos." She said concerned.

"I can look after myself" Josh said firmly

"Im sure you can. But you won't be able to take all those guards. Unless you have a plan." She said, forming one in her plan. "But if your so intent of staying back for a distraction, I have an idea." She said a scribbled something down on her hand.

"Wot do u have in mind then?" Josh asked

"I have two of these gloves that will access any lock in this prison. Now you stay here to the distract the guards in the staircase and me an Almea can release the other prisoners, so that will create a distraction to get all the other guards away, as well as giving a chance to the other gifted ones. You could stay here and miss roll call, as you said, but hide somewhere near the door. They'll come in her searching for you and once their all in, shut and lock the door. Its the only door out of there, so they will be stuck there for a while. Then we can all go." She said.

"Sounds smart," Almea said simply, shrugging.

Maya had sat silently in the corner of her cell which was conviniently next to Natalie's. She watched them from under her hair with wide eyes and listened intently. "I an take out the camera's." she said quietly, creeping forward to peer through the bars. She put on a mischevious smirk and giggled. "I've been in here before. Watch this." she said, counting along the bars untill she found the right one and wiggling it to show how loose it was. "When the time comes, I can break this out. Not yet though, because it can't go back in. But I'm small enough to get through after. I'm good with electrics. Once the camera's are off, no one will know when you guys sneak off with the glove."

"Awesome." Natalie said and wrote that down on her piece of paper, documenting everything.

Maya grinned and then pushed her fingers inside of the messy chocolate brown bun ontop of her head and pulled out a tiny, scrunched up peice of paper, straightening it out. The paper was almost translucent with red dots and black, green, blue, yellow and red lines in strange patters. "Here." she said, pushing it through the bars. "Pin it ontop of your map. This shows the cameras, alarms and all the internal wires." She told her quietly, glancing around and then a strange, almost sad look appeared on her face. "Someone who used to work here gave it to me."

"Alrighty, thanks." She said with a smile, though her eyes were questioning the girls sudden depressed expression. She grabbed the thin piece of paper and placed it next to her map.

Maya looked into the girls eyes and answered the unspoken question. "He was my only friend. The reason I managed to stay hopeful. But he was one of the guards. Not like the others. He was infiltrating, using it as a way to help us, 'the gifted'. They.. They k-killed him when they found out. It was my fault." she said, looking at the floor and blinking rapidly to clear her eyes.

"Im sure it's wasn't you fault. "She said and scootched to the wall of bars that stood between them, reaching for the girls hands.

Maya chewed her bottom lip as she looked up at the girl her small frame hunched up with her knees hugged tight to her chest. She hesitantly let the other girl take her hands.

Almea felt ((UGH! Whats that word when you cant help someone?)) and wished she could go help, but she sat on her thin bed and held her knees to keep warm.

((Thats what I thought! But then I started think that maybe that was more like needing help, but I dunno... Now that I think about that sounds right...))

((Haha, no, I think helpless is used in both ways, helpless in the way that you need help, and helpless in the way you feel as though you can do nothing to help others.))
