The story that I enjoyed the most was "The Judicious Brown Chicken". I could really sympathize with her, as she was trying to make sense out of a world that was completely arbitrary. The conclusions she reached in order to answer the eternal "Why?" question made sense on a certain level. I think that this is one of the stories that best fits the definition of a fable; that beyond showing an entertaining foible, it also presents a certain common mindset.

I ahve to agree, it was the search, like we as humans all go on for the truth that resonated with me!

I preferred "Hello Kitty," the one that drew me to the book in the first place (it was read on the radio) about the cat in rehab.
I thought the last story was the most interesting. Not sure what the title was, but the one in which the owl and the hippo became friends. Another good question might be, which illustration did you like the best! I found the one of the eyeless sheep to be horrifying!
The stork story definitely resonated with me. I love how much humanity he was able to portray through the animals, in general. Genius book.
The Sick Rat and The Healthy Rat: that retort on blaming sickness just spot on reminded me of someone I know and the limerick was hysterical
I agree with the Judicious Brown Chicken. I read it a while ago and that is the only one that I still remember.
The one that sticks with me is "The Toad, The Turtle, and the Duck." The social commentary here was just so spot-on, plus the banter is just hilarious.
