I am of course, referring to the cookbook:
Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar: 100 Dairy-Free Recipes for Everyone's Favorite Treats

What have you tried? Do you have favorites?

Trying to remember what I've made...

Lazy Samoas (delicious! Melts too easily.)
Citrus Glitters (huge hit at the office), I added lemon icing w/zest on top.
Sell Your Soul Pumpkin Cookies (I wouldn't sell my soul but I would steal someone's parking spot) I added "cream cheese" frosting. Another hit at the office.

It's hard to go wrong with these cookbooks I guess. :-P

Josh (cuculain42) | 8 comments I don't bake too much, more of a cook, so I usually go store bought and it would have to be Oreos.
I have tried a bit of vegan baking, using flax meal as an egg substitute, but haven't had much success. I think I may need to adjust something for altitude (6000 ft here.)

Katie (katie_jones) The Mexican Hot Chocolate cookies are to DIE for!

Oreos are unfortunately no longer vegan (although the Newman O's are)...check the website :(

Katie... can you tell me more about Oreo's not being vegan? As far as I can find they are still considered vegan, not that the company labels them that way.

This is the ingredient list. Are you just talking about sugar?

Oh I've never made either of those... it's hard not to go back to the same ones over and over because they are so good. :-P
