Death Match: Other Characters in the Hunger Games discussion

Ender Wiggin (Ender's Game) and Legolas (Lord of the Rings) versus Maximum Ride and Alanna of Trebond (Song of the Lioness) in the 74th Hunger Games. Who would win?

Tough one but I'm going to go with Max and Alanna. Ender may be a great strategist but since there is gravity in the arena and he's just a kid he probably won't be much help with the actual fighting. Max can fly which is just very helpful and Alanna was trained as a knight and has magical powers so she's kind of hard to kill.

I've only read Lord of the Rings and Maximum Ride here. While Legolas is definitely an awesome fighter, and just awesome, I think Maximum has the greater advantage. She can fly at superspeed and has eyes like a hawk. Not to mention, she heals faster than anyone else. I think her only downside is her metabolism - she may not be able to find enough food to keep herself going.

Okay, this one would probably not even be close. Ender and Legolas would definately win. Legolas is deadly and at least a match for Allana. Ender would devise some ingenious strategy for them to win. Maybe in terms of power Maximum Ride and Allana are superior, but Ender is more than capable of beating overwhelming odds.

I don't know Maximum Ride... but Legolas' ability to put Robin Hood to shame and Ender's battle strategies (and his ability to make sure anyone coming after him can never come after him again) make me think they'd probably win.
