Please Feel Free To Ask Questions, Add To, Or Have Me Change SomethingThere are many breeds of dragons that walk the Earth. Most fall within one of two categories: Eastern or European.

Eastern Dragons are from the Asian nations: China, Japan and Korea. These dragons normally do not have wings, but can fly due to their ability to control water. Eastern dragons tend to be elemental with the ability to only control water.

European Dragons are from the European nations: Wales, England, Finland, etc. European dragons can be elemental dragons or mineral dragons.
Before going into an in depth comparison, it is important to know that all dragons can breathe fire and so it is not seen as a distinguishing characteristic between Elemental and Mineral Dragons.

Elemental Dragons have the ability to control on of the elements: fire, water, ice, light, dark, etc. Most are able to do so in their dragon and human forms.

Mineral Dragons do not always have special gift, but if they do it is not the ability to control one of the elements. Mineral Dragons tend to be solid colors in hues that are identical to precious gems.
