Aly was sitting in a booth at Taki's, waiting for her parabati Nia to show up. Glansiong down at her watch she sighed, Nia was late.

Nia rushed into Taki's and found Aly.
"I'm so sorry I'm late," She said as she took a seat across from her.
((I'm gonna add more to the create a character bit like personality, etc.))

"It's fine." Aly said smiling slightly. "I'm used to it by now."

Nia smiled, "I'm trying. I plan to leave early but then I get sidetracked..." She said.

Aly nodded, "It's fine." she repeated "SO, what's up?"

Nia shrugged, "Not too much, what's up with you?"

Aly frowned. "I've heard rumors that the vampires are planning something." she said

Nia nodded, "I heard that too. I thought they were only rumors."
((I'm gonna make a vampire for us to rp with))

"That could be true" Aly concided, "but you know that in every rumor there's a liitle truth."

"Well, why don't we go find out?" Nia asked, a gleam in her eyes.

Aly nodded and stood up. "Let's go."

Ash walked in and sat down at the bar. She ordered a martini and luckily, the bartender didn't notice she was underaged. They never did. Once she got her drink, she sipped it slowly, leaving the olive for last. She looked around and grimaced. The place was empty except for an old drunk.

Ryder strode in and plopped down in a booth.

Nia followed and sat across from Ryder

Aly slids in the booth next to Nia.

"I'll have the stack of pancakes, a fruit smoothie, a bagel and some of that banana bread if you got some. You guys?" he turned to them once the fey waitress appeared.

"a chocolate milkshake" Aly replied

"Same here." Nia said.

"You guys sure you don't more? I mean I'm starving." Ryder laughed, sitting back.

"When aren't you?" Nia joked.

Aly nodded in agreement. "I mean seroiusly. It seems like you're always hungry."

He shrugged, smirking "Why wouldn't I be? I like my food."

Aly rolled her eyes.

"Here it is!" Ryder clapped his hands in anticipation as the food arrived promptly. He dug in with no notion of manners.

"Ew, you eat like a wolf." Nia said, wrinkling her nose.

Aly just shook her head, trying not to laugh at Ryder as she drank her milkshake.

"Somehow, I do not find that offensive." he laughed, cutting into banana bread. "Oh, did you see the new bow and arrow set in the training room?" he whistled low.

((PS, who is our head of the institute?))

Aly shook her head. "Better than the old one?"

"It looks as if...Excalibur got together with a bow and arrow set and had a baby. Yeah, looks like that."

Aly raised an eyebrow.

"I am not joking. This bad boy is made of some cold metal, engraved with celtic like runes and the drawstring is also metallic. The arrows are notched with glass instead of feathers and the quiver is stiff leather." he went on to describe the thing admiringly.

Aly just shook her head. "Well I won't be using it. I never got the hang of the bow."

"That's a shame. It's good fun to compete with." he grinned, tucking into more food.

ALy finished her milkshake, and leaned back in the booth.

"Do you want some?" he offered some of his numerous plates.

Aly shook her head, "I'm good."

He finished up his food hungrily and leaned back. "Very satisfying."

((night night))
"My god you ate that in like ten minutes!" Nia said, "That is some nasty stuff right there."

"It was good for your information and yes, I consider it a personal record." he patted his chest proudly.

She rolled her eyes, "Sometimes I think you're part demon by the way you act." She joked.

"At least that way I would have some powers." he shrugged.

"We have more power then they do. In case you've forgotten about a hundred of them are dead... and we are not."

"I think most of those escapes are luck." he pointed the end of his fork to her.

"Who cares? It's not like the demons know that." Nia said.

"Exactly. We have a facade to keep up." he giggled.

"Oh, big word." Nia teased.

"Gracious, your lack of faith is disturbing." he rolled his eyes jokingly.

Nia laughed, "Yet another large word."

"I actually do my homework Nia." he snorted.
