Rules
Everyone nominates (only) 3 books (at least one of which needs to be a classic and at least one should be recent and have been published in the last 5 years) every book you choose gets one point. So the books that have the most nominations will go to poll.

This thread will start on the 8th and close on the 12th (5 days) before polls open for 5 days. You do not have to nominate three books, one or two is fine. If you want to write a small amount about your choices that's fine too. It's all up to you :)

If you don't have time to read any new books recommend some old favourites:)

Even The Dogs by Jon McGregor Even the Dogs because it won the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award 2012 and I've started it before. I read If Nobody Speaks Of Remarkable Things by Jon McGregor and it has stayed with me (I bought even the Dogs because I really wanted to read more by him)
