_ I'm reluctant to start the darkness rising trilogy 'cause I have so many questions tied to this trilogy .___. do you guys have any answers or opinions to my questions?

- What's the significance behind her necklace pendant changing colors? (Margaret said there was some superstition about it in The Reckoning...)
- Was Chloe's mom's death really an accident?
- Where's Simon's mom?
- When Tori called her dad to pick her up, and it ended up being her mom in the car, was that Kit on the phone? (2nd book)
- Was Royce lying when he was taunting Chloe about the necromacy madness curse?
- Then, of course, there's that whole deal with the demi-demon and her "master"....what the heck was all that about...

hopefully these all get answered in the third book of the darkness rising trilogy...armstrong said she'd try to tie characters from the first trilogy to the third book :3

Diana Brown I would read the Darkness rising trilogy, they are really good. I dont think most of your questions have been answered -- but here are my opinions.

Nothing has been said (as far as I am aware) about the changing colours...my opinion is that it changes as she gets stronger. I never thought about Chloe's mom but think it was indeed an accident. Not sure about Simon's mom, but it wasnt Kit on the phone, it was Tori's supposed father (I just assumed he either knew she wasnt his, or was told). Since Chloe's uncle committed suicide I would say the madness curse is true (for those who can fathom seeing ghosts).

Nothing has been said on which demi-demon visited Chloe...and since the YA books are not in the same time frame as the adult series which might not know...I have wondered whether it is Balaam due to a comment made in the adult series about there being another witch/sorcerer child...but thats my thought only.

Right, well, I've read the first two in the darkness rising trilogy and I can say that although this is linked to darkest powers trilogy it doesn't really feature chloe and Derek etc. Just so you don't get dissappointed like I was.
Despite that I recommend this trilogy, I like the characters and the plot line so far and am really looking forward to the last book.

To answer some of your questions; it wasn't revealed what the significance of the changing colours of her necklace was, although I think it pretty obvious that it was linked to the increase in her power and developing sense of self.
No it wasn't Kit on the phone. If you remember Tori had a siblings whose dad was tori mum's husband.
Yes it was true about the Necromancy madness, I've read Kelley Armstrong's Women Of The Other World series and there's a necromancer character in there and her grandmother's sanity declined due to necromancy.
Finally... the demon thing, well you know how Rae is a half demon? Well she's the offspring of a human and a demon. The demon was supposed to possess the human in order to father a child.
Well anyway there are different levels of demons; hence the whole demi demon and master.
I hope that helps, but anyway I always think anything that Kelley Armstrong has written is worth reading.
Anyways... happy reading.

Fabienne Hey i re-read the whole serie again and i noticed something i didn't before, Chloe's aunt says something about her mom and that she wanted a baby real bad. But the couldnt adopt because of something her father did, and ever since i am wondering what the hell that could be, haha, i'm a dork. i know ;D

Chisom i also have a lot of questions about this book but what bothers me the most is that i've read the whole trilogy and the first two books in the second trilogy and really don't get how they connect. I mean since i havn't read the third book in the Darkness Rising trilogy yet i don't really know what would happen but they are definet loose ends here.... didn't stop me from loving it though ;D

lol! i was wondering about that too, but i wasn't sure if that was important enough to the plot that she'd include more info on it in the story :T but i'm curious to know her dad's background..

Rebecca the where is Simon's mum? question: I think it is mentioned in one of Kelley's short stories. It's about when Derek accidentally killed that boy when trying to protect Simon, and everything leading up to them going to Lyle house. There is another one with Simon and Tori after they split up with Chloe and Derek. I'm sure it is mentioned

hihiih, yeah me too!!

Zaira's Bookshelf I'm extremely confused about why the sorcerers came to the Project in the last book, they came out of nowhere, and it seemed that they were there for no particular reason.

omg thanks for telling me that.... now i can read the sequel trilogy. although i am so sad this one finished. i was so attached to the characters in a way i havent been in a while. :/

Fafa's Book Corner I asked a girl I knew in geography class about the necklace changing she told me that it is because Chloe is getting more used to her powers and stronger. In the third rising darkness book it has been revealed that Chloe is coming. I would suggest reading the darkness risings series because I've heard it's good and it may have the answers to the rest of your questions. Hope that helped!

okay since u mentioned the last book in the darkness rising series... are the other characters going to be there as well or only chloe??? .-.

Diana Brown They are all supposed to show up in the 3rd book which is the finale of the series. Kelley has a new YA series coming out in the Spring too based on Norse mythology -- the 1st one is called Loki's wolves (with Melissa Marr)

your Q about the Witch/Sorcerer child mentioned in the adult series it was Tori! Kelley even said so herself!

Sarah kelley always said that she would come back to chole and the others when there older so im hoping there will be another series on that group fingers crossed :P

This question is like 2 years old, but apparently the only reason why the necklace kept changing was because Kelley had wanted to change the necklace's colours - not because of Chloe getting stronger. So I suppose there isn't a real significance for the necklace changing colours, but hey, it looks great on the covers.

Diana Brown His father was Zachery Cain...mentioned in Awakening and confirmed in the Belonging....his father didnt know about Derek...nothing about his Mom is really known

Sarah [tome raver] I'm glad to know that i'm not the only one with these questions, the only draw back to the ending I think that maybe she should make another one or maybe just make them look like letters from the Edison Group like i've seen done in a few other books am I the only one?
