T.J. | 18 comments I do not not not not not not not not not not not not not not not not not like the person they might cast as Finnick! NOOOOOOOO! I'm picturing the all out Alex Pettyfer look here! If they make him like, I dunno, old, I will be mad. I almost cried when I heard about the whole Justin B. wanting Finnick's role. I'd really would rather not have a second HG to that alternative. No offense, he or any oher guy they've tried besides Tron dude and Benjamin Stone have not fitted the role!

WHAT?????!!!!!!?!?!??!?!?!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!???!!???!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!?!?!??!!?!??!!?!??!?!?!!?!?!??!?!!??!?!

HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!??!?!?!!??!!??!?!?!?!?!!?!?!???!!?!?!??!!??!!?!?!?!?!?

THE HUNGER GAMES IS EXPCTIONORENARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barely Breathing Banana | 183 comments LOL! not a real word. Personally, I dont see what all the big fuss was about, I mean really.

A girl signs up to die for her little sister (Anyone would do that, I'd do it for my little sister if i ever needed to, and i know my bro would do it for me, so its not really that big a deal.)

In the arena, she kills a few people like its no biggie, and she also toys with the heart of her secret admirer, even though he makes it plain as day that he loves her (not only does this show she's cruel, but she's also downright stupid, and i hate when the protagonist is an idiot)
(view spoiler)

Im sorry to everyone who liked the book/movie, but i didnt and those are the reasons why. I didnt mean to spoil anyone elses experience of the series, but ive read better, and it infuriates me how there are books out there that are a million times better, but arent as famous cuz the author isnt as rich and hasnt had as many opportunities. Meanwhile, books like Twilight, Hunger Games, and Harry Potter get a huge amount of publicity because the author (dont get me wrong, i liked hp, the others, not so much) and it really sucks...then again, life sucks

message 17: by T.J. (new)

T.J. | 18 comments I think the story line was just different and held some truth to it such as poverty and governmental issues. I agree with you that there are better books out there and ones that are very similar such as Divergent which I personally prefer over the Hunger Games. Regardless, I still loved the movie.
(And Gale made the bombs and I think he planned where they would hit).

Barely Breathing Banana | 183 comments I wouldn't know about the movie, I never bothered watching it. I also haven't read Divergent but I defiantly will give it a shot. Also, even if Gale literally dropped the bomb at the city below, I doubt he knew that Prim would be there, or that he intended for her to die. Katniss was a little silly when she blamed him for her death...that would be the equivalent of blaming Murtaugh for Oromis' death (Inheritance Cycle) or Darren for Shancus' death (Cirque du Freak)...it wasn't either of their faults, maybe partially but not entirely

message 19: by T.J. (new)

T.J. | 18 comments I'm not exactly blaming Gale for Prim's death, but I can see why Katniss would jave associated the bombs with Gale since he helped create them. But it wasn't his fault, you're right.

Well said. :)

I thought The Hunger Games was a good trilogy, but I don't really understand what all the fuss is about, I liked Divergent better, but that's just my own opinion. :)

message 50: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 21, 2012 10:29AM) (new)

Divergent is a lot more interesting than THG, but that's just my opinion.

And AWESOME about the other castings.
