Notice I did not include Catching Fire or Mockingjay.

THG is the book I had to star reading three times before I got far enough to love it. But once I did, I couldn't put it down. I made people read it. I said, "get The Hunger Games and read it."

Why? The concept is so perfectly contained. A nationally televised fight to the death event featuring teenagers. The concept of the book provides the structure for the book. I wish, wish, wish, wish, wish I had thought of it.

I liked Hunger Games and thought they did a good job adapting it into a movie.
