Duration: 4 months from start date

The purpose of the challenge is to not only inspire us to read new books, but to hopefully introduce us to new music. Maybe listen to something we wouldn't normally listen to. It always interests me to know what music others are listening to...I don't want to miss anything. Lol

1. List out your Top Ten Songs. These can be the top 10 on your iPod, your 10 favorite songs - whatever you like.
2. Match a word. Read 1 book for each song where one word in the book title matches one word in the song title. A, An, The do not count.

● You may post your song and book lists as you go or in advance.
● All book formats are acceptable
● Re-reads are allowed but no skimming

I really enjoyed this the first time around, so I'm thrilled to do it again! Trouble is, I'm in a LOT more challenges now than I was then, so it'll be interesting to see if I can get this one done on time.

I rarely listen to my music in iTunes, and can't look at the play count on my iPod, so I just opened iTunes, put it on shuffle and took the first ten songs that came up. Here's my list:

Yes, I listen to (almost) anything :) Daughter is surprised that nothing came up by Rob Zombie, Iron Maiden, or my my multitude of Disney soundtracks! LOL

I'll do this too. I don't think I can honestly list out a top 10, so I'll do the same as others and shuffle my Spotify playlist. There were some non-English songs in the middle, I cut them out.

lol That's why it's a challenge! Seriously, though, what genres do you like? I might have read something that would fit.

I try to read through as many different genres as possible which inevitably means I end up reading the same stuff anyway, you should be able to see my genres on my profile (I don't think its set to private). Ive got a few ideas for some of the books but high start struggling after I have got through the easy ones.
This is a great group, thank you for being such a friendly host for the group.

The first book that jumped out at me for #7 on your list, Thomas, is Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. I've never read it, so can't recommend it personally, but I know it's crossed the desk at lot of times at the library where I work.

I clicked the "add book" button and searched words until I found ones I thought were interesting. For Grounds for divorce

Clever, I stupidly hadn't really thought of doing that, will have to give one of them a read.

What a neat trick, Ashley :) I've done that with our library's online catalog, but never thought about using GR too!

If you sync your iPod with iTunes the play count is the combined total of plays on iTunes and your iPod.

In theory, I know it's supposed to do that, but it never seems to work that way. Since actual play count rarely matters to me, I've given up trying to figure it out.

Aw ok. I'm for some reason obsessed with play count. So much so that when I switched computers a couple years ago, I copied the actual iTunes library file with all the play counts and ratings and playlists.

I tried doing that once -- copying the library -- but it didn't work right. Kept saying something about a file name being too long, which makes no sense at all, since iTunes names the files in the first place LOL

Windows only allows so many characters so if the address of the destination folder is too long it'll give you an error.
