Graceling Academy discussion

This is the dorm. You have a bed and there are washroom after every 4 rooms. This is a castle and you live in a part of it:)

Red gets out of bed and walks into the washroom. She begins combing the knots out of her hair.

Arella enters the girls dorm. She's hardly broken a sweat and feels exilarated. These are the times when I absolutely love my grace! she thinks to herself. She takes a shower and changes clothes before heading into bed.

She had set an alarm for an hour before dawn. Arella got up an quickly hot ready for her lesson with Giddon. She grabbed a small snack from the kitchen and then sprinted to her lesson.

Hestia came into the dorm after her lesson with Darius. She kind of liked the librarian. Even if he was a little moody. She smiled to herself and plopped down in her bed to think.

Cat had had a long day of hiking to find The Graceling Academy so when she got to her dorm she was exausted. But that wouldnt overcome her trust issues, she needed to verify that this place was safe. even if she wasn't afraid. she checked the locks on the two windows and the dead bolt on the door before she lowered her guard. once she saw there was no way to get into the room after the door was locked she sat down in a chair to braid her hair before going to bed.

A few minutes later Red slowly walked into the Dorm Room still invisible to the rest of the world. She sat down on her bed and started combing her hair. When she was done she put it in a long braid that fell far below her shoulders. She got up to check herself in the mirror. Red calmed my down and her reflection appeared. After that she left for the library.

Waking up the next day Cat finaly noticed what her room looked like: it was cream with light pink accsents. there was a twin bed that fit her perfectly off in the corner of the room, and on the left a vanity that was cream, pinkish and had gold designs in the front and sides. at the foot of her bed a similar looking foot chest. she went to the bathroom part and saw it had the same color concept. she washed her face and put on some clothes that she scavenged out of the closet with gold handles. once she was presentable Cat deciced she would explore the academy. she opened the door and walked down a halway. it led to another dor wich lead to a library.

As she walked into the room Red put on her favourite jeans and a green long sleeve shirt. She brushed her hair, and teeth, and then slipped on some hiking boots.

When she was done she ran all the way to the Kitchen for dinner.

waking up the next morning was easy she had hardly got any sleep she was poncering what had happened between her and Red. It was extrodinary. She had had no human contact with anybody for a number of years and she goes up to one girl and already she has a chatting buddy. 'no more.' Cat thought to herself. 'one is hard enough to keep track of.' she didn't need a group of friends she needed a conpanion. one that she could trust.

Red sat down on her bed as she waited for Cat. Her room was red themed with gold accent colors. A picture of her family was all she had left of them. The room wasn't big, but it wasn't small either. It was perfect for her. Red laid down on her back and thought of Ryan. He was interesting. That's all she could think of. 'He might not be the smartest, but he's deffinetly worth trying to run into.' While she was thinking she must have fallen asleep because the next thing she saw were her dreams.

Cat huffed all the way down to Reds doorm room . That boy just rubbed her the wrong way. He seemed too clever for her liking. He had the emotional mind if a child, inmature little boy. Eventhough he looked almost twice her age he was still nine years old in Cats mind because nine year olds just have this instinct about how to push your buttons. When Cat reached Reds dorm door she knocked lightly.

There ws no answer so she tryed the knob it wss open Cat pushed open the door and found a sleepind Red flailed out on the bed spread out takingup thentire space. Cat backed out of theroom and locked it, then went to her dorm room. She went inside and locked the door behind her she could talk to Red tomorrow.

Red woke to find a note on her bed side table. 'We need to talk. -Cat' Red rolled out of bed and sighed 'I'm in trouble...' She walked out, down the hall, and into Cats room. She was sitting on her bed reading an art book. "I'm sorry. Red said when she sat down on the sofa across from Cat.

"Sorry for what?" Cat said without taking her eyes off the book. "That you lied to me? No, you know what im sorry that I thought you would be the one person who would tell me that truth. Jeese what was i thinking? You, a shy clostraphobic? Yeah is that why you were 'hanging out' with those people yesterday? Is that what clostraphobic people do, throw themselves into a group full of people? cause if they do then i must have the definition of clostraphobic wrong." Cat gave Red a pointed look after she finished that last sentance. Scooching aroung in her cair so she was sitting on the balls of her feet. Then Cat went back to looking at her book.

"I sat down next to Arella to apologize for two days ago when I was talking to them and got so nervous that I disepeared. And Ryan was using his grace to control my feelings. He tried to make me feel more comfortable at the table and that made me so angry because I hate when people do that." Red sucked in a breath. "Overall I'm sorry, sorry, sorry." Red put her head in her hands and began to cry. Everything that had been going on over the past few days was really beginging to break her down. She had never cried in front of anyone. Not even her sister. But she didn't want to see her only friend walk out on her because of some stupid guy.

"oh, that's why you had a different charachter going," said Cat understanding what she meant. "sorry i snapped. it's just hard for me to trust anyone anymore and i shouldn't have blamed you. So... what's Ryan's grace then?" Cat said curiously. "Wow. We had a good experience with guys then didn't we. haha." Cat chuckeled under her breath. "We should go down to the library and talk, here lets get you cleaned up." Cat went into the bathroom and got a towel wet with cold water and some tissues for Red and helped her dry up her tears and wipe her face clean with the towel. And we made our way to the library.

That was enough for Cat she was exousted from today she decided that this was her safe haven she had enjoye dthe convorsation with Red butwas furious that it was interrupted by Ryan and the other one. She was just happy to hit the hay.

Red sat up in bed. She was glad she was able to manipulate them, so they wouldn't see her walk out. Her embarassment meter had gone to high when Ryan walked in. Feeling revitalized from her sleep she got up in search of Cat.

Cat didnt want to go any where but she needed to get out of her dorm. So Cat padded down to the door to outside.

Arella couldn't find Phina anywhere, so she decided she would go back to her dorm. She closed the door and went and sat at the window. She gazed out of the room and absentmindedly played with her hair.

A FEW HOURS LATER, AT THE BREAK OF DAWN

Red awoke in her bed, wrapped mummy style in her blankets to escape the cold. She didn't think about how tired she was, or how hungry she was. She thought of how she got to her bed. Just the thought of someone carrying Red off to bed made her dizzy to the point of no return. "Ryan" She mumbled aloud. She set out to find Cat and vent to her about everything that happened. Eventhough it was early in the morning, Cat wasn't in her room. Finally Red returned to her bed. She would find Cat later. Then she would seak out Ryan. "Say goodbye to sweet little red riding hood. And hello to the big bad wolf." She thought to herself. She dreamt of talking wolves telling off Ryan, and ripping him to pieces.

Arella woke up in the middle of the night. She couldn't seem to sleep and restlessly sat on her bed. So she got up and decided to take a little walk through the academy.

When Red woke up, she grabbed her book and began to read. A few minutes later, she thought she heard Cat walking around in the next room over. She decided to leave her alone for the time being.

Cat paced around the door to all the dorms trying to figure out if she should go see Adam or Red. Eventually she knew that seeing Red would be better. She opened the door to Red's room after knocking. Red was sitting in a chair reading.

"Hey" Red said without looking up. There was only one person it could be. "What did you do last night?" She said with a slight tease in her words.

"ha" Cat said sarcasticly, "absolutly nothing. You?" Cat said flopping down on Red's bed. and smothining out the wrinkles in her bed spread.

Out of the corner of her eye Red saw Cat lie down on her bed. "Hello?" She looked up. "Are you going to answer?" Seeing Cat looking at her the same way everyone did she just said "Oh. Sorry...I chased you to the archery field, but you weren't there. I stayed and shot some arrows. Apparently, Ryan was there the whole time and so I sat with him. He used his grace to make me tired, so I fell asleep. I'm so creeped out that...somehow...I ended up in my bed."

Since Red was looking at Cat now she went on, "I said that nothing happened..." Cat looked up at Red and threw out, "I got along with him-" Cat cut off. "Wait, you said that you last saw Ryan he was using his grace to seduce you, and then you wake up and your in your bed." Cat gave it a thought. "This means two things; one, he knows were you sleep. and two, he has watched were go go after you leave to say youre going to sleep. um this means that hes a stalker and hes a pervert." Cat says with a matter in fact tone.

Red rolled her eyes. "Where else would I sleep? In thw woods? I don't think so! There's only one place I would sleep. I'm sure if you asked Adam he'd know where you sleep. But I'm still mad at him." Red put down her book, and grabbed another. This one was called 'How to get revenge without getting caught'. Cat raised her eyebrow at this. "What? It's fitting isn't it? Anyways...how well did you get along with him?" Red giggled softly.

Hey guys!! Zara said, a little too enthusiastically. Every stared at her like "why are you do dang happy!?" and zits just smiled waved and went to bunk, a little embarresd

Hey, umm guys, where do I go to practice if my grace is being a chatty Cathy doll!?" an how do I get to the kitchen, I am starving!! And where is the library, and the bathroom?" " I HAVE TOO PEEEEEEE!!!!!!" and now I am still hungry and bored and thirsty

Red heard a racket coming from the hall. She opened her door. "Oh...Cat!" She yelled into the room. "There's ANOTHER new girl here." Red stepped into the hall to find a blonde girl jumping up and down like she had to pee. "Okay...?"

Oh, hi who are you,?I am zura nice to meet you your hair is pretty,your eyes are pretty you are so beautiful!!! Want to be friends!!?!

Where urination station?? Zura asked. And then burst out laughing

"Oh...um..." Was Red getting over her fear of people? This girl was easy going, but Red wasn't about to let her guard down. "Sure...do you want to, uh, come in...?" Red opened the door, so Zura could walk in. "Oh, the washroom is two rooms down."

"oh, thank you" Zura replied gratefully, "so where is my bunk?" Zura piped up again, "I see yours and some others but where is mine" also one last thing, where do I go to practice??"

Cat was wide eyed and disturbed. She had to go to her dorm Red made her paranoid and now she wanted to go make sure she had locked up. Even though she had gotten along with Adam doesnt mean that she trusted him with the ke yto her room, or in this case the location. "Red Ill see you later," Cat nodded at the new girl. "Nice to meet you." And Cat bolted out of the room.

"Well, this is my room. And Cat's-" She pointed to Cat, who had just walked out the door, "-room is across the hall. Your room is probably somewhere across the hall as well. I'm new here as well, so I don't know where you should go to practice. I've been here for about two weeks, but haven't done any practicing." Red looked across the hall to see Cat closing her door. "Excuse me for a second..." She smiled at Zura and ran across the hall.

I wanted to go see Adam and caught myself at the thought but his voice had seemed so soothing the last time she had seen him. He didnt ask her much and she had liked that she assumed that he recodnised her distrust in people so he let her ask all the questions so i know most of what his past was; he needed to control his grace so he came here and so on. Just then Red bust in the room. "Do you ever knock?" I joked. "So did the new one find the bathroom?"

"Well...I pointed her towards the bathroom, but I kind of left her standing in my doorway." Red sat down on the couch. Red studied Cat. "What are you thinking about...?"

"What? Oh nothing." Red gave me a look and sat down next to me on my bed. "Oh okay i was thinking about how my time with Adam went yesterday. He was actually really nice." I said and smiled.

Red giggled at the thought of Cat and Adam stargazing on the archer field. 'Oh wait.' Red thought. 'That was me...' "Do you want me to ask him out for you? BECAUSE I WOULD SO DO THAT! Actually, I don't think I could handle it. I'll figure it out eventually..."

"WOAH WOAH WOAH!!! I dont even know in i like this guy, how do you get this stuff; go out with him!!! I didnt even know how to talk to people before i came here, and now you need me to start a relationship. Ha. Yeah like thats going to happen. Id screw it up on the first meeting or whatever you call it, date." I shuttered at the word. I didnt want a relationship. I didnt need it either. So what if he had a reasonable side, that was an achievment just in itself.

"Don't know if you like him!? You can't STOP talking about him! All I hear is Adam this, Adam that! You might as well be saying 'Oh Red! Please ask him out for me! I'll be the happiest girl in the world!!'" Red fell off her chair laughing. "I'm sorry..." She sounded like she was hyperventalating. "It's just so funny!"

"What about you and creepy dude? Didnt he make you fall asleap in his arms? You are as deaply in love as i am-" i stpoed myself. "I didnt mean that. I- um- ugh i dont hardly know him and if anything i would like a friend."

Red gasped. "He is not creepy! And I did NOT fall asleep in his arms! He just made me fall asleep next to him..." Red crossed her arms. "WAIT! You admitted it! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I KNEW IT!!"

Suddenly, Zura came bounding around the corner and saw red and cat talking, she ran up up to them "watcha talking about?" Zura asked
