Oxygen discussion

I absolutely loved this book, I've read it three times and plan on reading it much more in the future. I would like to know everyone's thoughts on it, and maybe a little friendly discussion. Questions, answers, likes, dislike, favorite character, it's all welcome! Just looking for a little conversation :)

I got this book because it came with the added writer's stuff at the back of the book. I never had the intention of reading it because it didn't sound like something I wanted to read, but one day I sat down and started into it. I was hooked! Overall, I enjoyed it, but there were a couple of things that drove me crazy.

I thought Valkerie and Bob were totally annoying. Their relationship was a little over the top with how "my heart stopped..." kept appearing over every little interaction between the two.

I loved Kennedy and Josh (especially in the second one). Kennedy was just so out there.

I enjoyed the fact that it kept me guessing after every chapter as to who did what. The author did great with that. And the idea of being completely helpless out there in space gave me the chills. I would not want to be in their position. Especially when Valkerie had to be awake by herself to keep the others alive. That would have been absolute torture, and I can't even imagine. I get cabin fever at home after a day inside.... I can't imagine what a few weeks or months would be like!

I was very pleasantly surprised with this piece. Did you read the second one yet? The Fifth Man

Yes- I read the second one and LOVED it!!!! :) I get what you're saying, but I really liked the relationship between the two of them. :) It's nice to have some discussion though :)

I think I liked the second one just as much. I think I was holding my breath the whole time during both of those books, with all that talk of not enough air. And what about the ending? Brilliant! Even though I was annoyed with some of the relationship, I thought that the ending was great and it made me smile :)

Hahah the ending made the 12 year old me smile too. And still does at 17. :)

This story grabbed me with the opening - even though I'm not a sci-fi reader. I have a hard copy version and an e-version. It's great writing that I've read more than once and will read again.
