((Thanks! Walker'll go here after he passes out during the meeting in the Big House. I need to talk to you about what will happen at camp. I have some ideas while we wait for other people to go on the quest.))

It was harder than it might seem to heave a deadweight teenager backwards up the stairs. Aaron's grip just kept sliding.
Puffing, they both looked grateful when they finally eased him onto an infirmary bed and jogged right out the door again.
Aaron clapped a hand on the guy's shoulder who helped him and they shared a relieved smile.

Walker woke up with a jolt mid-step. His knees buckled in the unexpectedness that he was walking. His hands made contact with what seemed like sand, and he couldn't even be sure, for he was blind. He blinked. Still nothing.
He opened his mouth.
Hello?
He coughed as his breath stopped, the word dying in the back of his throat.
H-
He tried to bring a hand to his throat, choking on words. He felt like his lungs were being filled cold sludge. The sand closed over his head.

"Walker? Care to come here a moment?" his mother called out.
He blinked his eyes. He must have fallen out of bed. He pulled himself up by help of his bedside table.
He stumbled as he took a step, and the wood of the floor collapsed under him.

"You're dreaming, Beatty. You're such a brick-head. What are you doing dreaming about ice-skating?"
"Huh? No! The ice kept breaking! I fell and-"

He was drowning. He could just see the hand reaching for him, but something was dragging him down.

Darkness again.
"Come."
"Excuse me?" His voice came out like he had grit in his throat– scratchy. And painful.
"Come. You have two legs. Walk."
He felt fingers wrap around his wrist and tug a little. "Come."
Walker took a step.
