How to Understand Israel in 60 Days or Less
Author: Sarah Glidden
3.5/5
After reading "Palestine", a graphic memoir by Joe Sacco about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict from the perspective of the Palestinian people.. This was a good approach to understand the situation in Israel. As a Pro-Palestine Arab, this book made me feel really sad and frustrated. The free birthright trips to Israel being arranged by educational organizations around the world for Jewish young adults to strengthen their Jewish identity. How many of those young jews leave their countries to settle in Israel once they see how civilized the country is and the good life it provides for them. How they join the army willingly and how they are so dedicated to the cause of their country.
Glidden's friend said: "Those Arab nations that refuse to recognize Israel because of the 'Plight of the Palestinians'? They don't lift a finger to help them. Not one finger." Ouch.
Book #50Charlotte street by Danny Wallace
5/5
I had lost hope in British writers. Danny Wallace is different though. I loved this book. I'm a hopeless romantic and a sucker for a good plot. This book had both. And the way he writes makes you want to keep writing. I never thought a cliffhanger would be possible in the middle of a story, but Wallace does it time and time again. Brilliant.

The Clout Of Gen
By: Ahmad Ardalan

So yeah the book turned out better than expected. Its's the first novel by this Arab author and I loved the plot and the ending. An easy read and a page turner. If you have an e-reader, go for it!

Book: Send
Author: Patty Blount
Genre: Young Adult, Realistic Fiction
Finished Date: 14.August.2012
Rating: ★★★★
Review: highly enjoyable!
≈ At 13, Kenneth made a choice a lot of kids his age choose for the sole reason of fun. Now fun can be dangerous and Kenneth Mele's life changed because of that. A simple act of pressing a button can have the horrible impact on someone else's life. And 5 years later, and after moving to a lot of cities, they decide to settle with a new identity. In this city, Kenneth, now as Daniel, meets Julie Murphy but it's an insta-hate relationship. But then, after having classes together, they started getting friendly (maybe so friendly) and we see how they overcome that hate.
For me this book wasn't about the romance as it's about this sensitive issue kids find themselves in these days. I totally appreciate Patty Blount's style of writing & very unique take on this. I don't think I'll forget Kenneth Mele. ≈

Book: Social Suicide
Author: Gemma Halliday
Genre: young Adult, Crime, Mystery
Finished Date: 04.August.2012
Rating: ★★★★★
Review: So goooood!
≈ I completely loved this book & I loved everything about it. The murder mystery was good tho a bit predictable. Sam and Hart still are the most awesome bffs ever. The romance with both couple was so adorable and in character for the girls. I'm glad the focus of the book wasn't the romance. It was downplayed, and that made it even more cute. ≈
Playing with Fire by Derek LandyMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Another hilarious installment. I love Skulduggery, the skeleton is so witty I want to be him.
