Is it just me or does it seem like The Immortals is JUST like Twilight in lots of ways? For example: never dieing, not eating, staying pretty, super strength and speed, and Damen being so old and so wise...???

Yes, I saw a lot of glaring similarities, even after just reading the synopsis on the back of the book.

thing is, it's a lot better than twilight. Damen=Edward. Jude=Jacob. The reason that it's better is there's like magic and phsycic abilities and the biggest bitch, Karma, is after them.

Actually, I found this book to be an almost replica of Lauren Kate's Fallen......it has the exact same story line!!!
How the girl reincarnates for centuries....and the love of her life always trying to find her!
Except one's an angel and the other's an immortal.
I didn't get any similarities between Evermore and Twilight.....none at all.

I personally prefer Lauren Kate's Fallen Series!

I agree with Tina J, it's nothing like Twilight and not even comparable as far as depth of story goes.

It is more similar to the Fallen series.

Okay so a lot of books are similar. I can name a lot of books where there are immortals, or where people are reincarnated, and A LOT with vampires (or such) staying pretty and strong. It's the story that matters. No, I don't think The Immortals is just like Twilight. And if I had to compare it to another book, I think it IS more like the Fallen series.

How come there are so many books out there about immortals and/or vampires that end up being compared to Twilight? Even if there are only minor similarities in the books? People have a certain idea of what vampires and immortals are like, so characters will end up being similar in one way or another, no matter who the writer is. It doesn't mean that the books are anything like Iwilight and I think people should stop comparing books to Twilight

Similiar but the similiarities are pretty superficial and your right the summary pretty much points to that. I'd say that's part marketing ploy. But with that said, I do think people who enjoyed twilight will enjoy this series as well.

Hated this series anyway. The first book was great(until the end) so I didn't even bother with the rest.

I liked it untill Karma got in the way.

i agree that yes, you can find a lot of similarities between stephanie meyers the twilight series and alyson noel's immortals series but can't you find the same similarities in a lot of other books compared to twilight? some of twilights characteristics like special-powers-slash-abilities, main-character-who-makes-mistakes-more-often-than-not, and the classic love-triangle are so general that they can be found in a lot of other books, so its not that one other is stealing off the other or using the others ideas, i'm just saying that the components are such general ideas that are seen in a lot of fantasy books, that its not something thats really a big deal.

i read the first two books then on shadow land i gave up, it was simply too boring! :/

No. I've read Evermore. I was highly disappointed with it, but I would never go as far as to say that Evermore is similar to Twilight. That's quite an insult, which, is sort of saying something....

evermore sucks, i like the first 2 books, but then it was really boring, cant be bothered to read the last book.

They can eat, but because of the red drink, it doesn't make them hungry! :(
