As I was rereading the Harry Potter series, I got thinking about the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, so I made a chart- which just made me more confused. I mean, Oliver Wood was captain in his 4th year, though for all we know, he could have been captain before, so he was captain for atleast 4 years, when everyone else was captain for only one or two in their 6th or 7th years. What makes even less sense is when you think about the Gryffindor Quidditch Team when Harry was first on it! It was comprised of one 4th year, three or four 3rd years (depending on whether Alicia was a 2nd or 3rd year), one or two 2nd years (again, depending on Alicia), and a 1st year! That means that there were no 5th, 6th, or 7th years interested in Quidditch! Either that, or they all were just awful a Quidditch. No wonder the Gryffindor Quidditch Team barely won the Quidditch House Cup! Their whole team was really young, and inexperienced, whereas the other teams had some players who had been playing a lot longer than the Gryffindor team had!

And, I'm surprised that they never let younger kids join the team, or even practice with them! The whole reason that their team was so young was that it had probably been composed entirely of 7th years and a 2nd year two years before Harry's first year, or else 7th years, 2nd years, and a 3rd year the year after that. There is nearly no other realistic way that Wood could have been captain over a few 2nd and 3rd years (and a 1st year) in his 4th year. I mean, if there had been older kids previously on the team, unless they had all graduated the year before, surely they would not have taken well to being replaced by younger and less experienced kids!

I only got like one twentieth of what you just said.

Sorry... It's just that I was thinking it over all morning and I just felt like I had to say it... if you want, I might be able to restate it so that you can understand it better... though it might be about twice as long...

Now that I read it another two times over, I agree with your statement!
