Camp Maybell discussion

No one likes to swim here anymore it's become a tradition to dunk new kids heads in it

Demetria, fully clothed, jumps in the lake and starts swimming, knowing fully well that this wasn't common. She knew once the kids saw her, they'd treat her with respect out of intimidation. She swam around and around and around. She wondered to herself, 'where is everybody?'

Daniel walked over carrying Johnny.

Dusk walked towards the water and spotted a girl swiming around. "Oi! Seems someones already decided to go for a little swim!"

Ali and Sara walked to the lake. Ali walked cautiously and Sara was barely moving.

Daniel set Johnny down and jumped in. He pulled Demetria out of the water. "Don't do that again. You know what'll happen."

Gemini walked towards the lake shaking slightly. She couldnt swim and didnt like the idea of going near it.

Sara hid behind Ali looking out over the lake, "I'm an Angel. Nothing bad happens to Angels..."

"You won't swim in it. This is just for initiation. You get dunked. ONCE!" Daniel told them as he stood up.

Sara sighed, "Ok... Nothing bad is going to happen...." She ran to the water's edge and jumped in fully clothed. She climbed out a few seconds later shivering.

Dusk leaned back against a tree watching over everyone.

Gemini stood back from the crowd praying she wouldnt be noticed

"That's not what I meant. Ali show em." Daniel told her.

Ali sighed remembering her first day last year.

"Johnny goes first to get him done quick." Daniel told her as he motioned to Johnny.

Sara frowned, "Do I really have to do that again?"

Ali dragged Johnny to the water's edge and pushed his head underwater.

"Ali will show you what dunking is." Daniel told her. He then walked over to Koko. "You have the towels?"

Dusk remembered whe time 11 years before. She had been six years old and terrified when th older kids and picked her up and dunked her in the cold water of the lake.

Johnny struggled under the water.

She pulled his head out of the water and Koko handed him a towel.

Johnny coughed up some water, crawled out of the lake and wrapped himself in the towel. You could see him shivering.

Deidre sat in the grass watching as they dunked kids.

Dusk walked over to the girl who had been swimming in the lake before hand. "You know swimming in the lake is going to make the people who have been going here for several years think your insane right?"

Sara frowned as Ali motioned for her to step forward. She quickly pushed the little girl's head underwater. A little later she pulled her out and Koko gave her a towel.

Kara sat on the bank of the lake.

Johnny sat there shivering.

Kara saw somebody shivering. She walked over. "You ok?"

"I was dunked. Im so small my entire body was dunked." Johnny told her. His teeth chattering.

She took off her jacket and draped it over his shoulders. "Here," she said,"Take my jacket."

"T-t-thank y-y-you."

She smiled,"Why did they dunk you?"

"Im a first year."

Dusk after telling the girl what she needed walked away going closer to the shoreline of the lake

"Oh," she said,"I forgot about that. I had to punch someone in the stomach so that they wouldn't dunk me."

"Im too small and weak to punch. I mean look at how big your jacket is compared to me." The jacket ccompletely covered him when he stood up.

She smiled,"Well, I was one of the people that never got dunked. It's hard though. If you run away, they chase after you."

"But I didn't run. She just grabbed me and dragged me into the water."

"Who?"

"Ali."

"Oh," she said.

Daniel stood up. "Alright that's enough dunking. Make your way to the Field now." He picked up little Johnny and carried him there. ((go there))

She decided to follow them.

Dusk and Gemini followed Daniel to the Field

Ali sighed in relief. She hated doing it but she had to..

"Good, that's exactly what I want" she shoved the girl out of her way and told Daniel not to take her out of the river again, she knew what she was doing. She'd been here for ten years and not once got yanked by Maybell, but Demetria thought she was tough enough to handle herself and still survive, she coaxed Maybell by running around the outskirts of death.

Johnny's ghost walked over and watched her.
