Dewey The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the WorldDid I do this correctly? I loved this book about this cute cat who IMO suffered from environmental illness. I partly believe this cause he ate rubber bands. If you like cute and heart warming animal stories you will want to read this one.

Reggia | 2612 comments A library cat -- that does sound endearing. I miss having one on my lap while I read, well, at least in the winter. I may have to take a peek at this next time I'm at the library.

I feel sure it was required for me but of course I was delighted. I think that was around the time we could pick a classic to read and our teacher read Tom Sawyer to us.

Lizard becomes father at 111, I got this link here on goodreads:

A captive reptile in New Zealand has unexpectedly become a father at the ripe old age of 111 after receiving treatment for a cancer that made him hostile toward prospective mates.

The centenarian tuatara, named Henry, was thought well past the mating game until he was caught canoodling with a female named Mildred last March -- a consummation that resulted in 11 babies being hatched on Monday.

Tuatara are indigenous New Zealand creatures that resemble lizards but descend from a distinct lineage of reptile that walked the earth with the dinosaurs 225 million years ago, zoologists say.

An endangered species, the hatchlings born at the Southland Museum and Art Gallery will provide a badly needed boost to the tuatara's genetic diversity, said the gallery's tuatara curator, Lindsay Hazley.

Reggia | 2612 comments The Dalai Lama's Cat is the first in a series that is now up to six titles. Although I liked the first one slightly better I did enjoy the second, The Art of Purring (not to mention how much I love the title itself; the cat on the cover great resembles my own Kittyboi who I had for 7 years, and is no longer due to cancer). Anyway, I do look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Homer's Odyssey and The Penguin Lessons
