How about Hitomi Kanehara? Her books sound interesting and she has 4 books available in English. That might be all her books - she's not very old. She's Japanses by the way, born in Tokyo.
OK Autofiction for Hitomi Kanehara then. Though I'm a bit concerned that if people are reliant on using their libraries, they might not be able to get one particular book, they might have to pick up whatever is available by an author.
Sputnik Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami - we read Norweigan Wood by same author a long time ago so I am not sure if that rules him out, but would like to read more of his books - Japenese too I think!

ETA: Oops, I meant he fits the bill for November.
can everyone come up with some nominations as aiming to put up the poll over the next few days :) thanks in advance
can people think of any other nominations will put poll up once I am back form my long weekend away to bath :)
I think I'm gping to have to read all of the books nominated for November. That was a really interesting list.
Hi folks, I've just joined your group. I like the idea of everyone reading nominated books and then sharing. How does this work then, do we start reading Nov text on the 1st of november and have till month end to complete it?

I'm really enjoying The Garden of Evening Mists,
. Not fast paced, action packed, but beautifully written and very descriptive. Excellent choice for BotM
