Hai ya!!!! I'm Sai..And I want to discuss "How you people know there is a website like this" where we can place our books as shelves and can write reviews and also groups...

Coming to myself one day I searched in google for world's top 100 Love stories...Then it showed this link as top 100 love stories list with each and every detail of book...I Liked Good reads and registered in it....What About you...(Friend Suggestions)or bla bla....Share Here Thank You....:):):)

Sai, my experience was boring. A friend suggested the site. I have always read a lot but I never thought to keep some sort of record of books I had read. Love this site!

I found this site when I was working at the library. I patron came in asking for a realike to a book he read and when I searched the book this website came up in the search results with a list of books. I got really excited about the list so I kept exploring and created an account and then most of my coworkers created an account also.

I have been addicted to it ever since!

I was looking for online bookclubs and this group showed up in the search results. I immediately created an account and joined--that was about three years ago :)

About 4 years ago, I was looking for a list of Rory Gilmore's books and I found the site. I joined. I joined this club because someone I got to talking to was in it. It's been a thing for me ever since. I've made some really good friends through the site.

I work at a library and my job involves a lot of free time with a computer and nothing else, so I do a lot of random internet browsing. One day I stumbled upon Goodreads and I've been hooked ever since!

In a library how u got free time with books all around??
....just kidding :-P

I found Goodreads when I was doing a project for a lit class. And then I became ADDICTED but wanted a place to talk with people my age..and thus I created this group like 4 years ago! :)

I honestly cannot remember...I think I was trying to find a local book club and was unsuccessful locally but very successful in finding this group.

I don't remember, really. But I think I was poking around the internet looking for a place where there were book reviews since I enjoy reading book reviews. Goodreads popped up and I joined then proceeded to make my boyfriend join so I would have at least one friend. That was the summer of 2010.

I think I joined last year but didn't start to officially use it till this year and it's been awesome! :D I found goodreads through a friend in a writing website I'm a member of. He knew I was too lazy to keep a blog but at the same time I wanted somewhere to ramble on about books and BAM he found goodreads for me :D

I found this site by searching for books online and trying to find books similar to other books I have read.

I don't really remind how I first found this site. I think it was either through my job at my town library or through a friend's profile on fb

I believe I found Goodreads VIA a book related podcast. I don't think it was a goole find... I use to use Book Seer and never had problems with that.

He is like my best friend.
I googled a synopsis for a book I was interested in and Goodreads had the best one. I was pretty fascinated by the site so I joined. A week later I started my blog.

I think a friend recommended it to me once I told them I love reading/writing. I don't remember who it was, but I remember loving the website instantly.

I was looking for a social site where I could keep track of the books I read. when I found goodreads I got more than I asked for in a good way. I finally found something where I could indulge in my passion for reading plus I found others who shared that passion.

I got tired of having nobody to discuss books with since my friends are not as into reading as I am. Bummer so I was looking into joining a book club. I googled and came across Good Reads and have been hooked! Granted now that I am taking on so many classes it has been hard to find time to read but when I do its always nice to escape life in a good book. :)

Exactly what I was gonna say, Mirra XD

I was looking for an online location to store my book collection. And I started out using Librarything, I think and then somehow found my way here. This had a much better design at the time and a huge community. So I moved over to using this site for my archives.

i first found it as i used to watch book haul videos on youtube to help decide what to read next as im so indecisive! I heard someone mention a goodreads account and thought hmmm i must see what thats about

so glad i did!

It was totally random! I was looking for the info of some book, googled it, and found GR. It seemed interesting, hence made the profile. And here I am now! An uncontrollable Goodreads Addict!

I honestly don't know, I think it could've been someone mentioning it on Tumblr or I could've googled book recommendation websites or something along that line.
