Read a book that was first published in the decade that you graduated (or will graduate) from high school (or equivalent secondary education). For example, I graduated from high school in the 1980s so I would read a book that was first published between 1980 and 1989. Required: State the decade that includes your high school graduation when you post.

Can I use the book The Collected Stories by Grace Paley for this task? I graduated in the '90s and this book/collection was first published in 1994. However the individual stories were published earlier.

The first published date of the book you read is what counts. So, yes, this will work!
