Whenever you see her, you get the feeling that Amity has spent the day hanging out on the beach, even though she doesn’t really visit the golden sands any more. She has long blonde hair that falls down her back, sea green eyes, arched eyebrows which stand out on her face, long eyelashes and an ivory complexion often masked by a tan and countless freckles. She hates her freckles. Come to think of it, she hates every part of her looks. Amity could be considered pretty, although she’d never admit it herself, because she’s a blonde and the stereotypes that circle blondes wouldn’t allow her to. She stands at a height of 5’8”. She is not thin, slender, curvy or wiry like a Barbie doll, or fat, big-boned, solid and heavy-framed like a whale, but somewhere in between. She doesn’t wear make-up, however she does have a liking for jewelry.
Personality: Amity tries to be optimistic, happy and as immature as a fifteen year old can be, but she has always been a shy person even before the discovery of her status in life as a witch, preferring to recline in the corner with her book. She always worries about everything, from Dark Wizards getting through the borders of Hogwarts to her house being struck by lightning in the middle of the night and crushing her and her siblings. Amity never seems to have time for trivial things such as shopping or gossiping, although she would enjoy fitting in with other girls her age, as she is always trying to do everything, see everything and help everyone. Being a pessimist, she never sees the bright side and always works as though she might die tomorrow; hey, it’s possible she might just drop dead this minute, isn’t it? People don’t really notice, however, that Amity isn’t really a very normal fifteen-year-old, because when she ventures out of her bubble she’s able to cover the shy, worried little mouse that she really is and fit in with other people. She manages to hide her true nature very well after years of practice and trying; she understands other people very well even though she is always hiding behind what she calls ‘the other Amity’. This is just hiding two things about her; her shy personality and her abilities that would make her a mean-and-popular bully. These are her sadistic, sarcastic remarks and the fact that she’s a good liar. When, perchance, she goes and says something or does something snake-like, she is always apologizing, although being as worried of offending people as she is she says ‘sorry’ after about everything she says.
