The Ravenclaw Common Room:)

Caelyso walked into the Common Room, clutching armfuls of books she'd just fetched from the library. From Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and A Study into the Possibility of Reversing the Actual and Metaphysical Effects of Natural Death, with Particular Regard to the Reintegration of Essence and Matter and Flesh-eating Trees of the World, Caelyso had it all. Feeling a nagging kind of excitement in her stomach, she went to plop down in an armchair and noticed a girl sitting down beside her with a book open atop her lap. "Hi!" Caelyso said, then immediately felt bad, like she'd interrupted something very important.

"I'm Caelyso," she told her, grinning. "But call me Cael. Anything good in there?" she asked, nodding towards Lucy's book.

Caelyso laughed. "Wow, that sounds awesome. I would love to get that out of the library once I finish all these..." she gestured to all her many books. "So you play Quidditch?

"I've been training hard this summer," Caelyso said, smiling even though the memories of all those repetitive reps and laps and hours in the gym still made her muscles tremble, "and I'm really hoping to make the cut. Last year Ravenclaw was fantastic, but alot of the kids left so it's just a game of outstripping the competition."

Jackie stumbles in the door of the common room rummaging through her bag. Without looking she plops down in a cozy chair next to two girls talking.

" I'm sorry I don't mean to interrupt but does anyone have a quill I can borrow? I have an essay due for professor Snape's class that's 12 inches of parchment and I've seem to have lost my quill"

I grab the quill from Lucy. " thank you so much! I must have dropped mine coming back from the library. I'm Jackie by the way"
I give her a smile thinking she seems very nice.

" nice to meet you Lucy. " I glance at the book she is holding in her hand.
"Are you reading for fun or for homework? I feel like I have to read so much for homework I barley get a chance to read for fun anymore"

"Oh lucky! I would be finished my homework if I didn't feel the need to proof read it 3 times before I thought it was perfect. The library is now my second home"

Jackie gasps. "Oh my! You must be exhausted. I keep falling asleep in the common room at night but somehow I end up in my bed in the morning..I couldn't even tell you who i share my dormitories with."

Jackie smiled " well at least now I know one person "

Jackie started laughing " oh no!! You know you think they would have introduced themselves by now. How rude. Now I feel the need to actually fall asleep in my bed tonight to find out who these mystery witches are!"

"4th year, how about you?"

"That's awesome! Are you going to try out for quidditch? I would love to if I wasn't so clumsy but I'm pretty accident prone so ill just have to watch instead" Jackie said with a smile

"Oh thats awesome! I hope you make the team! Have you been practicing?"

"When are tryouts? I'm sure you will get it! And if not then we can just hex the captain.. Just kidding.. Maybe" Jackie says with a laugh

"I've tried it!! It took forever to find the counter curse though. It was still fun to try out though"

Alurea walks through the common room door with a messenger bag overflowing with books and parchment, and clutching a few more books from the library. "Oh, hey!" she says, smiling at the other Ravenclaws that she just noticed.
