Katy (katyas-69) | 603 comments Yeah, I haven't been around much for a long time - I'm just so busy that I haven't had time to hang out, y'know? But I'm feeling really down and just needed to be around the few people here on GR I knew weren't completely bat-shit crazy (or at least not bat-shit crazy in a bad way, you know?); I swear, I've been so tempted to just leave this site so many times in the past couple of months... :-(

Anyway - how is everyone?

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments Hey!

Sorry, I've been off sorting out the paperback forever, whilst getting the house ready to put on the market, with yet another set of job cuts going on at work, so it's been a bit hectic and I haven't been about for a bit.

Paperback is now out, rah! And so onto book 3 (currently at 85k words) and a couple of so-called shorts at 35k and 10k. And some other stuff that I'd like to get done for Christmas but blatantly won't, heh!

Sorry to hear you sound to have been having a bit of a time of it.I'm not sure where all the others have got to, but I daresay if you mention crullers often enough, one C.S.Splitter might just appear!!

Katy (katyas-69) | 603 comments I've been off the charts so long most people have probably forgotten who I am. *shrug* I just am so busy, if I tried to keep up here I'd never get anything done.

Glad to hear you've been getting stuff up and out! That's awesome! I think I still have one of your books in my review queue O.O Craziness ... just craziness!

Katy,

There must be something in the air. My co-workers and I have a project that elicits the response "No one can be this confused." on a daily basis. At least the people we are working for are nice.

Hmmmm ... maybe. I wonder if Mercury is in retrograde or something?

Barbara Tarn (barbaragtarn) If we talk about DayJob - I'm with Robert. No idea what my managers and bosses are thinking. So I better be off writing and see this career take off, LOL!
And of course I DO know who you are, my dear editor! :) But I've been less active on GR too, even if I joined another couple of groups. I'm just not so interested in group discussions, I guess.
But then... I'm a writer, LOL!
Hugs!

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments It's interesting, it seems to go in waves. At first everyone hangs out and chats; then they all have to prioritise a) writing and b) one or two main modes of social media.

I reckon you can't do all of it all the time or you burn out, but I answer emails fairly speedily unless I'm really up to the gills in it.

I kinda miss the old days of this group, I must say, but then I haven't really been here of late so can hardly comment!!

Katy (katyas-69) | 603 comments I imagine it depends on who is working on what when. I know I have 4 work-in manuscripts I've dedicated myself to finishing in the next two weeks, so I'll be crazy-busy for the next couple weeks editing like a maniac. But my monthly pain clinic appointment is coming up, so I need the fundage...
