Topeka & Shawnee Co. Public Library discussion

In the 3rd season this fall the Governor is making his appearance. Does anyone think this is too soon? Are you as terrified as I am? :)

I may be the only one who has read the books and is currently watching the show, but did anyone see the latest episode with Lori and the baby?

What are your thoughts?

Lori was good in the books, but I couldn't stand her in the show. I have been waiting for Lily to take care of her, but I am relieved I don't have to wait that long.

I agree. Lori was hard to take on the show. I was just surprised that it they got rid of her so soon. I thought that event wasn't going to happen until the season finale. Now I'm curious how they will handle the Governor.

I have a feeling the first 8 episodes will be them settling into life at the prison, and minor reveals of how twisted the Governor is. Mid season finale will be Either Rick finding Woodbury or Michonne and Andrea finding the prison with Merle and him reporting back. The last eight episodes will be the conflict between the two groups. So far the Governor seems more realistic and charismatic in the show than in the books.

I was really surprised they got rid of Lori so quickly too. I keep wondering if they are going to have her show back up somehow?

I'm guessing your plot twist is that Carl gave her a faux shot in the head and she will return as a zombie. :)

The producers may do anything... but so far they've stayed somewhat close to books.

Or maybe she won't... the new episode determined that. :)

Since these posts I started watching the TV series and reading the graphic novels. It has been interesting to see where the changes with the characters and the books.

I have started reading a new medium that I never thought I would read.
