About your question: Yes, I'd recommend the Peter Pan sequel to fans of the original classic, as long as they're prepared for some of it to be "rambling and unintelligible," like I said in my review; and for the presence of a kind of "Wendy precursor" character. It's similar. It's more focused on adventuring than mystery, and there's a lot more overt humor in The Lightning Thief.
