I'm not a member the group, so couldn't reply. I wanted to answer your post regarding writing violent scenes versus sexual scenes. I think the difference is in writing a violent scene it's total fantasy. We don't look at the violence as part of who we are. Sex scenes are more real to the writer. It's like relating a part of you, your own sexuality and that freaks some writers out. Kind of like sharing their own bedrooms.

Just my take on it.
