No worries, Lucy! :) Thanks for answering my question. I'm glad to know that book number 10 is your favourite. Lord Byron has always fascinated me! I have the first book in the series and now I'm really looking forward to reading it! Do you think they can be read out of order? Oh, interesting! Peter Pan is such a lovely story! And Wendy deserved her own book! :) I was in the mood for something Halloween related, so I just finished At the Sign of the Jack O'Lantern and tomorrow I'll probably start Haunting Mr. Darcy - A Spirited Courtship... it's dinner time now here in Italy. :)

Sorry. :) I consistently forget to check messages at the bottom of my author page. What a nice belated surprise! Oh, I know, my kindle is like its own surprise each time I open it. Yes, I do have a favorite, it is the one I just finished reading - Jane Austen and the Madness of Lord Byron. So, it is actually well that I only saw the message now because I would not have been able to tell you that that one is my favorite. Also, I just found a new book, although not Jane Austen, it is a reworking of the classic Peter Pan called Wendy Darling, it looks very good. :D
Hi Lucy! Thanks for the friend request and for the rec! I think I own some books by Stephanie Barron on my Kindle (I have... um... too many books I can't remember what I have! *Hides*) and I will definitely read them! Do you have a favourite among the ones in the Jane Austen Mysteries series?
Thanks for the friend request, Lucy!Hope to catch up with you now and then around GR!
I see that you plan to read some Jane Austen related books. If you're interested, we have a reading challenge group for Austenesque lovers that you're welcome to check out and join if you're interested: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

Hi Maria! I saw in my email that you liked my status update for finishing the 2015 Reading Challenge :) thank you, which then reminded me that I should check my messages at the bottom of my author page. Have you seen that movie It Takes Two with the Olsen twins and Steve Guttenberg, where he spends a lot of the movie saying he needs to get a thesaurus, I feel like that, I really need to write down on my calendar to check messages here, ha :)).
The Jane Austen Mysteries are wonderful, although there is a backdrop mystery that is ongoing through the books, each has a larger mystery that could be read independent of order, though possibly easier in order, I went 1, 2, 3 - 10 :D
How were your Halloween books? I think I will have to add Haunting Mr. Darcy - A Spirited Courtship to my to-read list.
Italy must be very festive this time of year!
My family and I are used to spending Christmas with the nuns of the Ursuline Convent, but most of the nuns have been relocated to Kentucky due to the diminishing size of the order and their ages, so there won't be a midnight mass, but we plan to go fly kites on the grounds sometime this week (a semi-eclectic upbringing :) my best friend was Sr. Lucille and she knew 5 generations of my family and was almost 100 and completely lucid when she died in 2006 - possibly a time traveler (joking). There must be so many rustic, beautiful convents in Italy :)
Happy holidays and many wonderful things for you and yours in the new year,
Lucy :)
