Lisa Alvardo gave a wonderful reading of a single poem at the famous Chicago Jazz Showcase on Friday Feb. 13, 2009. All 20 readers were limited to a single two-minute set. If she does another reading of her poetic adventures try to set time aside to hear/see her. One thing is the page then there's the stage. She can do them both with panache.
