A Mechanic’s Handbook To The God Of The Bible: Why God Just Makes Sense by Michael O Borthwick is a spiritual book that aims to help readers get a clear understanding of who God is and his undying love for us, regardless of our sins. The author shows the truth of God’s existence through his personal encounters. He also showed how you can build your relationship and remain at peace with God.

This book began with a personal note, and in it, the author shared his reasons for writing this book. I found it very inspirational. The author emphasizes that he is not trying to prove himself and his beliefs to anyone. Instead, he wants to help those who are truly searching to find The God of the Bible (this was how he described God). He gives reasons why we should have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. He went further to share his testimonies and how God manifested Himself in his life. Also, he shared the beautiful experiences he had after encountering God.

The author gave brief information about his background, which helped me understand the book’s title well. He compared the way we serve God with mechanical procedures. I loved the fact that the author always referred to the Bible. He used some of his experiences as an example to show readers that he has also made a lot of mistakes in the past. The author took readers through all the twists and turns, making us see that everything was not just a walk in the park for him. His journey was full of hopelessness before he encountered God.

As I read through this book, I noticed that the author always asked insightful questions and gave meaningful answers. The author’s writing style is praiseworthy. He used a simple and friendly writing style so that the message he was passing across would be well understood. I noticed a few editing issues while reading this book, but my total enjoyment of it was not deterred. Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. There was nothing I disliked about this book.

This book contains messages of forgiveness, God’s grace, salvation, and lots more. I must say, this book was very inspiring, and I enjoyed it. One of the things I learned was that no one is above or below God’s forgiveness. We should not let the guilt of our sins make us feel unworthy to seek Him. I recommend this book to readers who truly want to know God, understand his ways, and build a strong relationship with him.
