I finished your book Conceit this week, what an excellent book. Conceit, a manipulation of words. The whole novel very sensuous, in that you were able to make textures, smells, colours and tastes come alive. At one point I was making fish for the family for supper, thinking I wonder if I should use butter with this and realized I got the idea from your book! I felt sick when Pegge was tearing her father down from the scaffold; I am an OR nurse so that is saying something. I like how you had Pegge running around bare foot in touch with the physical world. But how to describe this book in a review... I thought I would drop you a line as I missed the book club month. All the best with your next book.
