Dead Deal: A Myles Scott Assignment by Jim ManleyMany thanks for comment below e-mailed to me from an old friend and fishing buddy in San Diego:
Wow! Unbelievably good. The book had believable characters: with great insight into people’s personalities. The timing of the chapters was dead on. I never got lost in the progress of the story. I felt I knew where the characters were and what they were doing throughout the novel. The details of the frosty Michigan weather leading to the cold motivations of our fellow man seemed to build on each other. So many other things I liked about the novel.

Many thanks to the reader who e-mailed me directly with the comment below:
I thoroughly enjoyed your book! You have written a page turner: well developed characters, smooth, natural dialogue and a story that builds into a very suspenseful mystery. And to boot, you have given the reader a look into the mortgage banking business and what unfolded behind the scenes after the housing bubble burst, a subject that has impacted all of our lives and that most of us are quite curious about.
