Its been a week though!

Whew, that's a toughie as it's different for every writer. What do I do? For starters I put it away and concentrate on something else for a while (a game, a book, family fun, etc.), anything but the writing project I'm working on. Then I sleep on it. Normally that cures me. There've been a few times when it lasted more than a day and when that happened I do two things: first I brainstorm words, writing down everything that comes to mind (which has the strange effect of knocking down the writer's block wall almost every time). Secondly, I start working on something else entirely - just the act of writing seems to work for me in getting me past the block!

Ah Rita, you have both my sympathies and my congratulations. I didn't think so at the time but "downsizing" was the best thing that ever happened to me! :) If you do get to the point where you'd like to work from home and maybe need a little guidance (or just support) - I'd be more than happy to help! :D

Oh wow, that's a toughie! I think I'd have to go with "The Hobbit". As much as I love the continuing epics of both authors, the hobbit was the first book I read from either author and it's the one that stays with me. How about you? Which would you pick?
