I am anxiously waiting for two books. I know one is coming at the end of the month; the other will be a surprise. I'm in dire straits. My patience when it comes to new reads is very limited. I need to find a good reread - or seven - to distract me.
Well the Ella Frank and Andria Large ones are M/M, so if you are into that (and like it VERY explicit--whoa, hot), I'd say that the Ella Frank series would be the way to go because it's done. Trust is the third book.
The Andria Large one is the second book of a trilogy so you'll be left hanging for a few months.Okay, is this weird, but I put in the Sultry Groove picture and when you replied, some Cookbook picture came up instead. :/ LOL.
If you like rockstar stuff, then the Eden Summers Reckless Beat is really good (Sultry Groove is the newest). The 1st book, Blind Attraction is the weakest of the series IMO, but the rest were GREAT!
Hot and Heavy is just a book that I've been waiting for and I can't really recommend it because the first book in the series was only okay, I guess. But they are about big girls, and that's kinda my guilty pleasure--so I have to read it. Angela Verdenius writes a lot of good BBW's--again, my guilty pleasure. So I auto buy her stuff. But not everyone thinks her books are as funny and cute as I do. I totally love her.
Shannon wrote: "I don't know, I have several of my auto-buys happening. Though what I auto buy might be way different than everyone else.
just came out,
I forgot about
but I haven't read any of the other authors you mentioned. If I can only try a couple, which two series/authors would you suggest I start with (I'm reading the Elements series but I'm usually not a NA person.)
I don't know, I have several of my auto-buys happening. Though what I auto buy might be way different than everyone else.
just came out,
will be out tomorrow,
will most likely be out Monday (she likes to release early)
is FINALLY coming out this month--been waiting for freaking ever for this book.
Angela Verdenius is an auto buy forever author and this is the last of a series about 4 friends. Andria Large is also releasing book 2 in her War series (M/M)
So I'm spending a ton this month.
The next time somebody says "Romance novels are just a cheap form of escapism", look them right in the eyes and say "Damn right!" https://rosannaleoauthor.wordpress.co...
Somewhat relatedly, I'm also looking for recommendations of Irish fiction - not just romance. My favourite series so far is by Patrick Taylor - he does the "Irish Country" series.
Who do you read from the Emerald Isle?
Everybody is cordially invited to a "Lucky In Love" St. Patrick's Day Facebook party. Tons of e-book draws, over $100 in gift cards, and some very hot Irish inspiration. https://www.facebook.com/events/84513...I'm up 30 minutes from now at the bottom of the hour (12:30 CDT). You're welome to come and say "hi"

Last time Nalini Singh had a new release, I stayed up till 2am waiting for her book to download. Then I read till 5am before I had to go to sleep. This time, I'm going to bed early and getting up at 5am to start reading. I prefer to be an efficient obsessive Guildhunter fan.
My short romantic comedy CUBAN MOON

All-Girls' Filing Station's Last Reunion
I've been seeing Rainbow Rowell mentioned quite often. I haven't read her - which of her adult (not YA) books should I start with?
I can't believe DRAMA QUEEN comes out tomorrow! You can still sign up for my newsletter for a special offer for subscribers.

Drama Queen Cover
Dear everybody with advance copies of Kristen Ashley's "
The Promise",I hate you all.
Green with envy,
Me.
Woo hoo! I got to start on ACTION HERO (Nick and Ashleigh's book), today.
(Chris and Sydney) came out on Valentine's Day, DRAMA QUEEN (Layla and Russ) comes out at the end of next month, and hopefully ACTION HERO will be out by the end of the year.
I accidentally bought
instead of
. No wonder I'm so freaking confused, 4 chapters in. At first I thought it was all flashback but, no, I was trying to start in the middle of the series.
I have a self-declared moratorium on buying books. I blew my May budget at the book fair and got 28 "In Death" books and 3 Clive Cussler novels. And that's in addition to my TBR from hell pile.Nothing new till June 8th, when I'll have a new monthly budget. On the list so far are:
"Shield of Winter" by Nalini Singh
"Otherwise Alone" (Evan Arden #1) by Shay Savage
"Move the Sun" (Signal Bend #1) by Susan Fanetti
"Sergei, Vol 2" by Roxie Rivera
Any other suggestions?
I went back to the bookfair on Saturday to see if I could find my missing "In Death" books ... and JD Robb was completely sold out on the paperback table. COMPLETELY! They didn't have ONE left! I'm so glad I went on Thursday and got what I did. *does sad Roarke shuffle*
I went to the Children's Hospital Book Fair at St. Vital Mall yesterday and bought 24 "In Death" paperbacks by JD Robb for a grand total of $55. I'm going back on the weekend to see if I can fill in the blanks. They're for research - honest! *does happy Roarke dance*
Sample chapters from Kristen Ashley (The Promise - Book 5, 'Burg series, Frankie and Benny)on her website AND from Nalini Singh (Shield of Winter) in her newsletter. Can today get any better without an actual release? I don't think so.
I'm on a short story spree at the moment. They are such a good way to try out a new author. It's probably why I like anthologies so much. I've found one I'm going to glom for sure, and another I'm going to give a second chance to.
I turned off my Kindle and went to bed last night, and this morning it was DEAD! CODE RED, PEOPLE, CODE RED!!! I've had to replace my Kindle before - it was not pretty. I'll try charging it up when I get home. Please cross your fingers for me.
My short romantic comedy PUERTO VALLARTA SUNSETS released this week. If you are looking for a quick, fun read and are willing to write a review, send me a PM or email me at elle AT ellerush DOT com and I'd be happy to send you a complimentary copy of
Woo-hoo! Shelly Laurenston's
is out today. I downloaded it first thing this morning and I'm leaving my Kindle to charge while I'm at work so I can dive in as soon as I get home. Livy and Vic, here I come!
So I was in the bookstore today - FOR WORK! - and I found Volume 1 (3 books) and Volume 2 (3 books) of Frank Baum's Oz books on sale for $4.99 each. It would be WRONG not to buy them at that price. So I brought them home and my TBR pile fell on my head in revenge....
...
Totally worth it.
I just found out G.A. Aiken is Shelly Laurenston's alter-ego. How did I not know this?!?! More importantly, how quickly can I convince myself to buy her books after bemoaning my overwhelming TBR pile?
