Sandpiper was very well written. I had the pleasure of reading Sandpiper on the beaches of Lake Michigan. I couldn't help but notice Sandpiper captured the beauty, power, and vastness of Lake Michigan and for me served as an underlying metaphor of a strong sister bond, of forgiveness, of acceptance, and possibly of other components of Susan Brace Lovell's amazing novel.
