I had to juice up my sex scene for Loose Id. Romance Junkies refused to post my excerpt, they said it was too racy. I'm like - really? My sex scene are part of the story not the entire story.I love the relationship between Tony and Ziva on NCIC.

I agree- if I'm reading a bit of erotica I know what I'm getting on that front. But some of the stuff I've read recently that is supposed to be romance doesn't have a lot of substance to it other than the sex. I don't mind getting out the fan to cool me off, but give me some story to sink my teeth into as well. :)
North by Northwest, the old Tarzan movies. There was a lot of verbal seduction. I hate books where she hates him and about five minutes later she banging him. AND then it's let's do it here and oh yeah, in the bathroom, on the kitchen table. There's no story, just sex. I like a story with my sex.
Yay, Gail! Thanks for accepting my friend request. :) I figured if we start talking old movies, we might want to talk off thread. LOL.Seriously- there are so many examples of classic romance movies that made my heart melt without the overt smexiness of today's stuff. (Not complaining- just sayin'). It's a different era with different expectations.
FictFact is a free website for keeping track of series, so you can't add standalone books. Many of my GR friends and members of my groups belong to it.When Vexing Voss is released I'll get it added, no probs.
I've done my review for IHV, hope you like it :)
Thank you! I hadn't heard of it. There are so many websites out there. I'm getting some really terrific reviews on I Hear Voices. See me do happy dance!!
Gail, just so you know, I got Coletti Warlords added to FictFact :)http://www.fictfact.com/series.aspx?s...
July 6th and yes I need readers for early reviews. So let me have your email address. I might have to use my final proof copy - which has no cover art and some minor corrections.Gail
A little birdie told me your final edit went in for "I Hear Voices". Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!Any definite release date? Only post if it's a definite because I've had this on my "to buy" for April.
If you need any volunteers for early read look me up.
Detja's a hoot. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's a bit different from Just My Luck. My chat last night was a bust. Guess the chat host said I never showed. But when I logged in it was 7pm my time. I have to figure out what when wrong.Gail
Ah, a come out chat. I'll have to keep on at my computer to upload the Java update then. For some reason it doesn't want to do it. I'm obviously doing something wrong. Hope Bunny is still coming along.
I'll just go and look at the trailer now and post back.
The Chat isn't until July 9th so plenty of time. My page with Warlord looks so bare after Just My Luck.
You did a great job putting the new book in the db. I usually go in and fix all the WP books and add the covers etc. I didn't get to the chat on the 9th, Java is still playing up on my computer. Hope it went well :)
19 days to go and counting.....
Thanks! I'm getting some really nice reviews on my Goodreads page lately, too. Just about done with Warlord. The last two pages and then checking for typo's and stuff. Cindy my old editor is proof reading it for me.
Just thought I'd let you know, I just read JML again (don't know how many times that is) and the rollercoaster still works. Keep up the good work!
That's just horrible. Sorry to hear that. Stay inside and write, snow or not, it will be much safer.
Ouch! Ouch!Flagstaff area and around the Grand Canyon got hammered. Big car wreck because of the blowing snow. By Tucson 20 car pile up with several people dead because of the blowing dust. But Phoenix area - zip snow.
Lash! Lash! Christmas is over. Write faster. Lash!Isn't it perfect writing weather over there now (not that I expect you've got blizzards, like the rest of USA) ?
Saw Sherlock - a good popcorn movie. I'm glad Christmas is over too. Gotta get to work! That deadline is looming!
I agree, Sherlock Holmes does look good. Always like a good Sherlock. We'll have to see, hubby is on hols for 3 weeks so I'm sure we'll see one if not both. Christmas was pretty good, all the rels behaved, plenty of food, the grannies were well and the nieces & nephews thrilled with their goodies. But glad its over.
Ha! Avatar is a wow for special effects. I want to seeSherlock Homes next.
Have a great Christmas!
Gail
I was thinking about seeing Avatar - the trailer looks good. And I deliberately didn't hassle you about Warlord - I thought I'd give you one day off. Have a happy Christmas.
Chocolate!! Yum. They've had so much food at work I'm sure I've gained ten pounds! Still working on Warlord and I'm pretty sure I'll meet that deadline.Go see Avatar - really good movie!
Merry Christmas!
Have a happy Christmas, hope you get lots of chocolate!!And you're welcome for the support, "you know I love reading your stuff, man".

Yeah, my favorite, too. She is a multi-millionaire and all she does is write. My dream. Write full time
Thanks, I'd love to get a big publisher but it's a tough market out there! I want to get the money Nora Roberts makes!
All fingers and toes crossed. It's been in the 90's to 100's here the last 2 weeks, so we've done a complete swap with the weather by the sounds of it.
Christmas is out this year. That money went to chopping up the branch. But next year will be better.Actually got cold last night - dropped into the 30's.
Got a couple of blogs one with The Romance Studio and Fang-tastic coming up, hope they will help sell books. Also got a big New York agent looking at Warlord, keep your fingers crossed.
Gail, just read the post on the 40 ft branch. Lucky no one was hurt let alone the damage. You just can't take a trick, can you!Things are just rolling along here as normal except I'm trying to finish Chrissie shopping. Nearly there, phew!
Had a forty foot branch come down in my backyard on Thanksgiving. It landed on my neighbor's fence - thank God no damage but it cost me $180 to get it removed! Ugh! Need to work more overtime now. How's things with you?
Gail,Congratulations.
You made Top 5 Hot Hooks Pick at Loose-Id. Hope you are writing fast & furiously. What a great Thanksgiving present.
Sandra
Thanks! Going over to my brother's house. Nice to have a day off.Hope you have a great day, too!
