I don't know what's wrong with this humming box today, it sent the message you just sent to my 'profile' page to the spam folder!! All seems well again now however. I suppose it could have been something I did, where do you think the 'oldgeezer' came from! any thing with buttons, zips on the other hand!
I noticed you made a comment on cancer, my lovely other half was given the all clear about a year ago.
I didn't think anything could ever 'get to me' again. That did, big time, I have never felt so bloody useless and helpless in all my life, seeing my lovely Babs going through all that and there was NOTHING I could do to help her.
The entire episode nearly destroyed me and it was Babs who had it! she treated things as though she'd got a cold! Breezed through the surgery, chemo and radio therapy. Amazing woman!
Thinking about it, it was one of your countrymen saved her life by following his gut instinct and operating anyway when all the tests were inconclusive and saying come back in six months, this was a Thursday, he said I'll see you Sunday!
I'm no expert, but from what I understand the type of breast cancer Babs had is the most aggressive and if it 'escapes' it's curtains, but if caught early has the best clear up rate. So thank you Mr Gough for saving my missus! a credit to your country!
Gotta go, all sorts to do, 'she who will be obeyed' wants to go shopping, just pop in here, nip in there etc! Yes my dear, is the only reply I can come up with!

Looking forward to reading Ravens though it might take a while as I get through my list. I'm spending most of my time trying to write book 2 of my series, and finding that I'm further along in book 3... *sigh*

aren't pets a pain!! we have two 'boys', Asbo, the furry one, was looking for a bit of fuss and Zebadee, the sleek handsome one got jealous, came up on my 'blind side' and landed on the key board, sending the 'mouse' flying and my carefully crafted message to you into the void of the ether!!
If you ever get the chance to meet Terry Pratchett then go!! he really is a terrific character, that's twice in a month now, [Wichester and the O2 arena for the Brit writers awards}. He is getting a little shakey now with the altziemers but he is as sharp as ever with his wit.
Thanks for the comment on 'The Day the Ravens Died'. It might be a terrorist based story but some of my best reviews have been from ladies who don't normally read 'that sort of book'.
As far as getting published goes, I wish you well, holding that first copy is one hell of a buzz, there is nothing quite like it.
100K words is a lot of wtiting, nearly as big as 'Ravens' [about 108K:]. A word of warning, really check out your potential publisher first, there are more sharks in this industry than in all the oceans of the world.
Mine is pretty good, and although U.K. based has authors from all over the world. I can at least vouch for the honesty of his company 'Authors on Line', it might not be what you are looking for, but at least they are an honest bunch who have helped me a lot with my three books which have been published.
Any way I had better get to bed as I have a book signing tommorrow [latter today!!:]. Good luck with your writing.

Thanks for the comment. I'm so jealous - I'd love to meet Terry Pratchett! Thanks for the book suggestion, too. I'll check it out, along with your book, The Day the Ravens Died.
I hope I get published, too, someday. I've written over 100,000 words, but the problem is revision and lack of aptly spent time. :)

Friday and Saturday, 25th and 26th of June, the Winchester writers conference and book fair.
Sunday 11th July the Frome book festival.
