Jacqueline Seewald I believe there's something to the Jersey Devil legend, but it may have just been a confusion with a Sandhill crane.

Larry Moniz Hi, The old Jersey Devil story. Ha. Closest thing I ever saw to the Jersey Devil was when my wife and I were living in Berkeley in a house that backed up to woods, and a big wild turkey came strolling through!
Have you ever been to the Lakehurst museum? The have a sculpture (for lack of a better description) of the Jersey Devil. Tiny museum, mostly devoted to the fire on the Hindenberg. Cute but NOT worth a special trip. Uneven hours.
