G.M. Coronel But it was worse than any nightmare. It was real and never before had he ever been as wide-eyed. Bewilderment clouded his thoughts as he looked at the figure running beside him. He had always known it as a product of pure fantasy – a folklore myth believed mostly by the young. Yet here it emerged, straight out of a tale. Jonas could not help but be awed and horrified at the strangely familiar and incredible sight!

It had the sprint of an athlete but the grace of a thoroughbred. It had the swagger of a warrior but the elegance of a stallion. It had the torso of a man but the head of a colt! Jonas found himself running alongside a mythical creature. He knew its name but his memory betrayed him out of sheer panic.

G.M. Coronel His stare pierced through me and into my being. I could not look away as I froze and felt chills running all over my body. It made me shake uncontrollably. For the first time I was exposed
and terrified. Never had I sought the protection of my faith in the Lord than I did at that very moment. For in those eyes, I saw the face of evil. It was not the fires of hell but the coldness of a dark void from which there was no escape. I feared not for my life but for my soul.

G.M. Coronel Annie had barely started walking when something happened that set her heart pounding. A sweep of darkness interrupted the light. She stopped dead on her tracks! Her whole body trembled at what she’d seen. Because she could swear a dark figure had passed in between her and the distant candle!
It was just a fleeting moment. But she had never been more certain. The figure, whoever or whatever it was, crossed over from left to right. It went by so fast that she failed to determine its shape. Nevertheless, it sent shivers down her spine.
She was not alone after all!
