I have to say I greatly enjoyed the process of trying to be in the head of whichever character I was writing - both in terms of what they would be likely to think and then how they would be lilkely to express themselves.

I read and enjoyed The Small Book and have posted a Goodreads review of it. I'll post a review on my own website in a day or so (I'm waiting because there was just a guest post and I attempt to spread out posts so my subscribers don't get too annoyed and start deleting without reading!). I'll send the link then, but I wondered if you'd like me to do a book giveaway with the copy you gave me. I've never done that before but I've noticed many book bloggers do that and I'm assuming it draws attention, gets people to read the review, and hopefully, want to run out and read the book. I'll happily give that method of "shameless" promotion a try if it sounds like a good way to send on the copy to another reader and get more use out of your marketing gift to me. I don't want to sound ungrateful for the book, which I was delighted to receive (Officer's Daughter is still on my bedside pile), but I'd also like to help you as much as possible. By the way, if you like the review, I'm happy to spread it to Amazon and Librarything also. Let me know both as to the book giveaway and review proliferation.
