I'm positively punch-drunk this morning over Chandra's 5 star review of Tattoo Rampage. http://seh-bookblog.blogspot.com/2013... "One of my favorite books of the year."
My agent calls me the rock star author. To live up to given title, I'm thinking of trashing out a hotel room this weekend.
People often ask me how I stay so lean. Well, dignity packs on a lot of weight, so I got rid of that years ago.
sunday Sunday SUNDAY! September 15th ~ Evangelina Marquez-James becomes a Sabron Quill and Acid sets out to destroy her and her family in Tattoo Rampage. Available on all E readers.
In the grocery store, I was having trouble finding an item, so I asked one of the clerks. He escorted me to its location and with empathy said, "It's not in the most logical place." And I said, "If they arranged super markets according to logic, then toilet paper would be next to the prune juice."
I only put about 57 cents of fuel in my car before going to work--just enough to get to there and the gas station again the next day. That way, if someone steals it, they'll have to fill up.
More of what they're saying about Tattoo Rampage...“I absolutely loved the opening chapters of this story! I look forward to the chance of working with Dave in the future.” -- Latoya Smith, Editor with Grand Central Publishing
From author of Claws of the Cat, Susan SpannWhat would YOU think if your tattoos came to life? What if you could "become" your ink? An intriguing idea, to say the least - and part of the idea behind Gusto Dave Jackson's upcoming novel, TATTOO RAMPAGE.
Want to know more? Dave answers my questions here: http://www.susanspann.com/?p=3582
More of what they're saying about Tattoo Rampage..."A kick-ass heroine, a super villain, and tattoos. What more could you want in a story?" -- Julie Kazimer, author of Curses and Froggy Style
Hard to believe: honey roast peanuts came about because peanut farmer Will Slocum was abducted by aliens and they showed him how to make them.
I sing in the shower. Once the audience gets over the shock of my hairy, naked body, they usually enjoy the performance.
There's an old pill bottle filled with sweet tarts in my medicine cabinet. My roommate--because I told him so--thinks they're my creativity medication.
Some side effects of reading Dave's posts are: dry mouth, blurry vision, nervousness, accelerated hair growth everywhere but the scalp, rapid blinking, itching, in rare cases depression, a tendency to break into song in large crowds, lack of coordination, muscle pain, headaches, cheating on taxes, stuffy nose, amnesia, feeling restless, cravings for donuts, increased sweating, indigestion, stealing hotel soap...
Saturday, traffic brought me to a halt in front of a Target store. Spacing out while I was waiting on movement, I stared at their logo of the bullseye. I focused on it so long that I swear the target blinked at me.
All stores should have enough electric carts for every customer. And each intersection could have traffic lights. And we could text while driving our carts.
Great new invention! The water fountain! Now you don't have to tote hydration around or pay for it. Just simply stop at one of the many drinking stations now being installed in every building and get refreshed!
More of what they're saying about Tattoo Rampage..."I'm hooked. I love the name Sabron Quill. Brilliant!" -- Claire Fishback
Am I the only one who, when after washing hands and unable to find a towel, thinks it's cool to just slick your hair back with your wet palms?
Okay...I admit one of my writer secret tricks. Listen to Eye of the Tiger while you're pounding the keys. Writer's block? Don't think so, buddy. Not with that primal beat and raging guitar forcing your fingers.
Hard to believe: contrary to popular hearsay, the first tattoo said, "Wow," but the artist was hanging upside down as he etched it. And when the ladies saw the finished skin art saying, "Mom," it endeared them to its owner.

Ink Lovers (meaning tattoos AND books)Coming from Curiosity Quills Publishing: Tattoo Rampage by David Jackson
Evangelina Marquez-James gets her first tattoo, a symbol of courage to carry on after her husband dies in the line of duty as a police officer. The skin art is of an elite yet obscure super heroine created by a forgotten 1940s artist.
A solar disturbance triggers a metamorphosis in her new ink, enabling Evangelina with the ability to transform into the super heroine. She sets out to wage war against the types of vermin who murdered her husband.
Acid, a sociopathic killer who can assume the form of his warlord tattoo, seeks the artist’s original sketchbook. When Evangelina comes into possession of the drawing pad, Acid not only tracks it down, but her family as well, forcing her into a standoff with his nightmarish army born of ink.

A holiday chuckle from one of our members, the bizarre writer of risque romances E.C. Stacy. "Our tree is up. The ornaments are larger than average so I’m told, but I think they’re just flattering my husband."
"We never really grow up. We just get bigger and hairier and society expects us to act responsibly." -- E.C. Stacy
"Men only want one thing...and I'm pretty okay with that. God knows what they could screw up if they had multiple interests." -- E.C. Stacy
Do you check out buts? Notice the spelling of that. An interesting writing technique from E.C. Stacy on the Rock today. http://chiseledinrock.blogspot.com
