Hi Carol, I'm so happy to see that your books are so successful. That's awesome! I've been reading some books from Blushing Books and I would love to read one one of yours. Which one is your favorite and I will get it. :D
Hey Carol, thanks for the friend invite. I read a lot of new and established authors. Lots of talent out there.See you around :-) ♥
Thank you for the friend request, and thank you for the lovely comments about my review! It's always nice to hear when someone else agrees with your opinion. I look forward to discovering what other books we agree or disagree on!
Thanks for the friend request! I wouldn't say I'm doing a comparison between Moby Dick (it's the Big Read, have you heard about it? Lots of fun), but it's a great idea... Love your profile picture!
Hi Lily,Thanks for the add - love the Barbara Taylor Bradford quotes. Am a big fan of the Emma Harte Series, I've lost count of the number of times I've read that series. Just working my way through it again so I can read the 7th book. I think the Ravenscar trilogy is going to be the next set I read. Are there any others you've really enjoyed?
Hi Lily,Thanks for the recommendation of "Love for Lydia". I enjoy H E Bates, a author who sadly seems to have gone out of fashion. Quite hard to get hold of him in NZ, but whenever I see one of his novels in a second-hand shop I always grab it. Did so recently only to find it was one of the Larkin novels, which I have bound as a single and have read. They are a little out of his normal style, but still eminantly readable. Will certainly look out for "Love for Lydia". Thank you.
Trish
Thanks, Lily! :) I saw that you read (and loved) Miss Drayton's Downfall, too. Clearly, we are meant to be friends.
No problem, Lily. I love Lady Sophia's Lover. Great book. Oh, yes. Huge CS Lewis fan here. I think you know how much I love Kleypas already.
Welcome aboard. I haven't done a thorough check of how much overlap we have in our books, but you'll likely receive updates. I've just added a doctoral dissertation from St Andrews' College about Archbishop Stigand, who was court chaplain to Anglo-Saxon kings from Cnut (usually spelt 'Canute' in English) up until 1070. I'm finding it interesting, but I obviously need more background info, for I'm not getting some of the 'as everyone knows...' references.

Yes, it's one of those unique books -- not a children's book, not for grown ups, not a horror story, not a romance . . . it's like walking into an amazing dream!
Thanks for the friend invite! Look forward to sharing book recs with one another and reading your reviews :-).
How can I pass up a goodread pals invite from the namesake of one of my fave characters ever? Hey, congrats on those releases!
Lily, Thanks for the friend invite. I'll be checking out your quotes. (I ♥ quotes!) Looking forward to your comments and reviews.
Thanks for the friend-vite. So do you often do audiobooks? I'm kinda new to it, and I haven't done any HR. Which narrators do you like the best?
