I am soo excited! You just made my day. :) And I will keep an eye out for updates from you on more Sonny and Luki. Another question will there be any Brian/Jackie happenings? I know Im wanting so much LOL
Sandra wrote: "Thank you for accepting. And thank you for these amazing men! Will there me more Luki and Sonny?"Sandra, you're welcome for all, and Luki and Sonny bow in your direction--yes it really feels more like they've created themselves than I've created them. They'll be back, I'm certain! Presently waiting on the publisher to give the thumbs up on their final suspense/mystery, Saving Sonny James. After that they've got one more story to star in, but it's a different sort of story, follows very loosely on the Novella Yes, to be entitled Jade, as it now stands. There's going to be some spin-offs, and they'll pop in from time to time. So, yes they'll be around. Thanks for the friend request, and inquiry, Sandra!
Hey, Beatrice! I'm glad you told me that. Jimmy Santiago is, in my mind, the spitting image of a boy I knew in grade school whose first name was Tommy. He was the kind of boy that was always smiling, always eager for a game of dodge ball or whatever, slight stature but scrappy. I have admired him all my life. Jimmy's part is small, but huge in the difference it made to the boy Luki to know that this one boy was brave enough to stand up for him. He and Maria both meant a lot to Luki, and in a strange way they mean a lot to me, too. (Well, yes, I already said it was a strange way....) Seriously, though, thanks for telling me that.Beatrice wrote: "I can't believe I forgot to tell you this, but I should say "thank you" for adding Little Jimmy to Loving Luki Vasquez. I can't believe I forgot to tell you this, but I should say "thank you" for adding Little Jimmy to Loving Luki Vasquez. I'm Filipino and even if Little Jimmy had a really minuscule part in the book, it made me happy. :)
Thank you, Beatrice! What a lovely compliment! I'm glad your enjoying the guys so far, and reading by flashlight sounds like a lovely way to keep your mind off the power outage. Hopefully you kept warm, too. I've been away from a computer today (except the ones that belong to the feds), so I just now got this note, and it's a nice surprise.Beatrice wrote: "Hi again, Lou! Hi again, Lou! So while power was out in small-town Connecticut, I used a flashlight and started reading Loving Luki Vasquez. I'm at around 62% right now and let me just say that your prose is absolutely lovely! I love how you have an artful way with words, and I love Luki and Sonny's dynamic! And now I'm going back to reading...
Ah, something in common! I like to ignore work, too! Well, at least the work I "have" to do—though I don't get to ignore it very often. I'd really rather pay attention to the work I "want" to do—like for instance writing, and related activities. ;-) Hopefully I'll get to do some of that tonight. Maybe. Enjoy the rest of your day, Bea! Thanks for coming by to visit. :)Beatrice wrote: "I hope you got enough rest! Hey, Beatrice! I'm good. A little tired—it's late and it's been a very busy day. Got some good planning done for V&J 3, took my old dad to breakfast and taught him some tricks on a video game, and spent way too long browsing at B&N. ;-) What about you?Beatrice wrote: "Hi Lou! How are you? :)"
Thanks for accepting, Nikyta. Yes, book 2 is called Delsyn's Blues, and I've just finished the manuscript. Dreamspinner tentatively plans to release it in January. If you're interested, there is a brief excerpt here: http://top2bottomreviews.wordpress.co... interview, but be forwarned it's a tear jerker. Anyway, very nice to meet up here!
