I am very pleased with HBO's adaptation of His Dark Materials.

I just don't feel quite like reading books right now...

Hermann is the 2016 winner of the Angouleme Grand Prix, recently controversial for the boycott of several nominated cartoonists in protest of the all-male slate of nominees.

I'm pleased about this, having now edited several English-language translations of some of his work, and having become a fan in the process. Excellent bandes-dessinees, and classics of the "Comics are not always for children" category.
